Books will be available for use during the session. BEGINNING PIANO Students learn beginning piano skills and fun- damentals of music such as introductory theo- ry, note reading, some ear training, rhythm, time signatures, and music symbols and staffs. Parent participation required. After one session of Be- ginning Piano, students who wish to continue will enroll in Intermediate Piano. INTERMEDIATE PIANO A progression from Beginning Piano. Students receive further instruction in music theory, note reading, sight-playing, ensemble playing, and performance skills. After one session of Interme- diate Piano, students who wish to continue are encouraged to enroll in private piano lessons. ADVANCED PIANO Students build upon skills such as improvisa- tion, incorporating different styles of music, chord reading, rhythm, and developing repertoire. BEGINNING GUITAR AGES 8-14 Students learn beginning guitar skills and funda- mentals of music such as the components of op- erating a guitar (strumming, picking, tuning), how to form chords and apply them to play countless sounds, as well as learning how to read music. Instruments are available for use during class if needed. PRIVATE PIANO & GUITAR LESSONS AGES 6+ Private lessons are taught by our talented instructors who have extensive teaching and performance experience. Private lessons range from 30 minutes to one hour in length, depend- ing on the student’s needs. Please contact [email protected] for times and availability. KROC MUSIC CLASSES SPRING SESSION: FEB 12 - APR 7 Sessions are 8 weeks in length. No classes will be held on holidays, fees will be prorated accordingly. Sign up early. Classes are subject to cancella- tion or change due to low enrollment. Payments are due by the first class of each session.
