Capping ValvesA Capping valve is a chip filling control valve installed on the digester in paper
making industry.
Remote control can be realized when connected to control systems.
Design temperature range is
180°C -230°C. Metal to metal sealing construction assures reliable sealing
performance and prevents stream leaking during cooking.
Tightness class :
ANSI/FCI 70.2- 2006 class V and better. The tightness will be enhanced with the
rising of pressure and temperature of the digester.
Safety equipment: Pressure sensor is installed on body, connectable to the locking
system to prevent operation during the cooking process. Mechanical locking device
is designed on the cylinder of the pneumatic actuator as second protection against
operationDue to floating ball design, ball will be pushed up against seat with the rising of pressure and temperature of digester
with more reliable tightness. Exclusive plate spring design provides pre-tightening to ensure effective tightness even
under low differential pressure. Full ball design with two seating face available for service in turn, a saving of ball spare. Full bore
design to ensure quick chip filling and smooth flow path without residue accumulation, therefore much higher chip filling
efficiency.
Plate spring loaded design to ensure reliable tight nessunder low differential pressure. The unique plate spring design is an
extension of motor beam design principle with advanced and reliable performance. Theball is pushed up against seat with the
increasing of pressure and temperatureof digester with higher sealing specific press and more reliable tightness, similar to how the
check valve works.
Seat is with two sealing assurance . The primary tightness is backseat sealing by gaskets in material VALQUA with good temperature
resistance up to 300 degree C and good acid and alkali corrosion resistance. Secondary tightness is by spring contained VARISEAL o
ring from TERABAO ,freefrom clod flow problem and with good temperature resistance upto 260? and good corrosion resistance
against acid and alkali .
Actuator is with mechanical locking system to prevent misoperation. A little cylinder installed on the top of actuator is locked
out and pushes retainer plate to limit the stroke of actuator. The valve can only be drived after the locking system on little cylinder
is released. The switches in the locking system can also be connected to the control system to realized multiple protection.
KV BW Series Basis Weight Control ValvesBasis weight control is one of the most critical applications for a valve in a paper machine. The
KV BW is the ultimate solution for this application.
With a reliable V-port segment valve, and a high-resolution step-motor-driven rotary
actuator, limit switches, and potentiometer enabling it to run the valve with various step
sizes, depending on error between actual and desired flow rate, makes it a superior element
for basis weight control. Any error can be eliminated quickly and accurately without
overshooting. This helps to reduce settling time during grade change.
