The Rice Health Foundation Endowment provides a stable and consistent source offunds to support and enhance the health care mission of Rice Memorial Hospital. Funds fromthe endowment are dispersed annually in the form of grants to worthy programs and projectsof the Rice organization.A portion is also designated to be awarded to healthcare relatedprograms in the community.

In fiscal year 2006, Rice Health Foundation's Board of Directors awarded grants totaling morethan $133,000 to Rice Memorial Hospital and the community it serves. Grants were awardedto many great programs and services to improve the health and well-being of west centralMinnesota.

In 2007, we expect to grant over $153,000 to programs and services that will enhance the healthand well-being of our community. 5
