Meeting February ll,2012 in the lobby of the Langlade County Airport
Meeting: Called to order by President Keith Mathews at 12:37 pm, after the wonderful chicken soup meal provided by Paulaand Arden Krueger. 14 members and 4 guests were present.
Roger Grahl, new member and, Fredrich Neuhoff, who is a guest were introduced. Keith announced that the MemberInformation Book is at the printer. He also said that the Activities Committee has met once each week, and are planning a newmeeting agenda for the chapter, and is looking for new activities. They are asking for ideas. Rick Coe and Paula Krueger toldaviation jokes and Glenn Burt told about his experience with a dead-stick landing in his Sopwith Pup replica. John Chmiel wasour guest speaker and he talked about Flight Reviews and the FAA Wings Program. The next chapter meeting will be onSaturday, March l0 at the Wausau Downtown Airport. Guest speaker will be Tom Thomas from the Wisconsin Hall of Fame,speaking about the history of women in aviation in Wisconsin. Tom Malato donated a copy of Robert's Rules of Order to thechapter.
The members voted to donate $50 to the Wisconsin Light Aviation Seminar (see ad below) but the motion did not countbecause we did not have a quorum. We now have 125 offrcial members, so we need 19 members for a quorum. Other officialbusiness, such as acceptance of the Minutes and Treasurer's Report also did not count.
Motion to adjourn was made at1:42 by Tom Malato, seconded by Mike Weinftrter.
After the meeting Josh Walker, the Fixed Base Operator of the Langlade County Airport gave us a tour of his Cessna Ag Truckand Arden Krueger gave us a tour of his Peitenpol Air Camper project. Both planes were in the FBO hangar.

BECOME A PILOT FOR A DAYWausau Flying Seruice is offering its popular *'Pilot For a Day" seminar at the Wausau Downtown Airporton Saturday, April 74,20LZ at 9:00 am.
Attendees will learn what makes an airplane fly, how to control it in the air, and what you can do with the differentlevels of pilot certificates. At a later date, each person will have an oppoftunity to actually control an airplane inflight between Wausau and Merrill.
Presenters are Ceftified Flight Instructors John Chmiel and Gil Buettner. The fee for the course is just 975.00,including the flight.
