My name is Gustavo Coronilla. A short intro about my career goals are at the moment regard landscape urbanism and redefining public spaces. I am interested in redefine cities, by noticing cultural identities within cities and im-proving them or reenforcing the promiment identity. My career goal will be to work in a landscape architecture firm that focuses in urbanism and art installations. Art install-tions that have to do with land art interest me one of my favorite land artisit has to be James Turrel. Not only am i intersted in the art of landscpae architecture, i am also interested in the study of ethnobotany in landscape archi-tecture: landscapes that give respect to the the indigenous cultures. This is a field i will like to explore more in depth in the near future. In the next 5 years, or so i will like to hold a master degree in landscape architecture or possibly architecture.

A BRIEF INTRO ABOUT ME

A brief paragraph who I am is that I always told I am creative in many aspects; In my downtime, I like to keep a Microsoft word document to write down any thoughts that float down my head. They are usually pointless blabber but I tend to en-joy it writing down anything. Also, I like to visit new places: parks, museums, cities, anything in general. A goal of mine, will be to travel most of the world. A place I would love to travel will be in Alaska. The artic is something I have always been fascinated by: the animals, the ecosystem – it is a very unique place. Also, I love to read, a lot. I can spend hours on end reading about anything: history, sociology, cultural iden-tities, art, psychology. I spend hours on end reading Wikipe-dia pages about random information. I love to learn about new things whenever I can.

Assignment 1: Plan and Section Drafting

This project was based on giving us a short intro to Auto CAD the objective of the assignment was to get a photo based drawing, scale it to appropiate scale, develop a plan drawing, and 2 sections with entourage.

Assignment 2: Diagrams In Space and Time

The objective for this project was to give us a short introduction into illustrator. The purpose of us-ing illustrator was to develop a diagram that revelead certain aspects of the site. This was a team project. Bret Roman was in charge in showing different elements of the existing site (topography, trees, playground etc. I was in charge of showing occupancy of the site within the span of 24 hours.

Assignment 3: CPP Festival Installations

The objective of this assignment was to get a brief introduction into Photoshop. By using photoshop we had to develop 10 perspectives in total with a partner (5 for each member). The idea was to create an event that took place at Cal Poly Pomona. The perpectives I chosed were mainly stage design, and temporary art installations.
