Overview

The controller labCTRL I.2 is the central connection unit of a HEADlab system. It is used for the data combining and synchronization of up to 10 input and playback modules. A system is configured and controlled via the controller from a notebook/computer by means of the recording software ArtemiS suite Data Acquisition Module, ASM 04.

Furthermore, the labCTRL I.2 controller provides a CAN or OBD-2 interface, two pulse inputs, and the possibility to connect a digital artificial head (HMS III or HMS IV) directly.

For measurements with very high number of channels, several controllers can be connected to a PC via USB 2.0 and via LAN, using a LAN switch.

HEADlab system with several controllers

y Connection of several controllers for creating larger HEADlab systems - Connecting the controller via

USB and/or via LAN to the PC (using a LAN switch)

- LAN and USB can be used simul-taneously

- Via USB 2.0, a maximum of two controllers can be connected to the same PC

- Via LAN, the maximum number of controllers only depends on the network capacity and the computing power of the PC

y Up to 10 input and playback mod-ules can be synchronized with one controller

y A customary PC equipped with several controllers permits the following number of channels, e.g. using 10 labV12 input modules per controller - 600 channels with a sampling

rate of 24 kHz - 300 channels with a sampling

rate of 48 kHz - 150 channels with a sampling

rate of 96 kHz
