    Types of communication based on the communication channels used are:-

    Verbal communicationNon-verbal communication

  • Verbal communicationVerbal communication refers to the formof communication in which message istransmitted verbally, communication isdone by word of mouth and piece ofwriting. In verbal communicationremember the acronymKISS - keep it short and simple.

    Sub-division of verbal communication:-1) Oral communication-spoken words, speech, radio etc.2) Written communication- signs or symbols, message, hand written etc.

  • Non-verbal communicationNon-verbal communication is thesending or receiving of wordlessmessages.

    Elements of non-verbal communication are:-1)Appearance- speaker-clothing, hair style, neatness etc. surrounding-room size, lightning, decorations etc.2)Body language- Facial expression, gestures, postures etc.

    Even without words message canbe strong.

  • The 3 methods of communication are

    1. Oral/Verbal

    2. Written

    3. Visual

  • Oral Communication is Sending a verbal message.

    Internal Eg. Intercom, face-to-face meeting.

    External Eg. Radio, telephone.
