DIFFERENT BASE TYPES

Installation of this product requires planning to ensure successful installation. It is the responsibility of the contractor, installer, purchaser, owner and user to install, maintain, and operate the device in such a manner as to comply with all state and local laws, ordinances and regulations.

Hyperikon's LED tubes offers a variety of choices that fits your installation needs. The base types (also referred to as pin types) below come standard in specific models as noted on your packaging and product listing. NOTE: Fa8 base is available only for Dual-ended Tubes.

Rewiring of fluorescent fixtures for use with LED tubes should only be performed by individuals who have been properly trained to perform basic electrical maintenance and repair. Please review these instructions thoroughly before proceeding.

• Before proceeding with the installation, make sure the power has been turned off through the main circuit breaker and all of the tubes have been removed from the fixture.

• The two pins at each end of the LED Tube are internally connected together. Based on your tube type one or two of the ends can be live. Please refer to your specific tube type installation instructions when performing the installation.

• This product is not intended for use with emergency exit fixtures or emergency exit lights.• This product is not dimmable. Do not use with dimmers. • Do not connect to power source that operates on a higher or lower alternating current. Before

attempting any installation make sure the current for the power source is same as for the product. To find information about the Alternating Current for your product visit www.hyperikon.com or contact our live customer support.

• Depending on your LED tube type the ballast may need to be removed from the fixture. Please refer to the instruction for your tube type for more information.

For Ballast Bypass Single-ended LED Tubes the electricity flows through one end marked with “AC Input”. The live end of the Single-ended Tube has two pins, there one can be used as live and the other one as neutral. If replacing a fluorescent tube, start the installation with disconnecting the wires and removing the tube and ballast from the fixture. Attach the LED to the fixture and complete wiring by following the diagram below. NOTE: Ballast Bypass LED Tubes are designed to be connected directly to the power source, bypassing the ballast.

Daisy-chain installation Standard installation

Connect the live and neutral pins on each tube’s live end (marked with AC Input) directly to the power source.

On the live end (marked with AC Input), connect the live pin with next tube’s live pin and the neutral pin with next tube’s neutral pin.

Multiple tubes installation

Installation of multiple tubes can be performed in two ways, depending on the installation needs. Follow the installation chart above to install the first tube and continue installation of multiple tubes by following the diagram for the installation method of your choice. NOTE: DO NOT install multiple tubes by connecting live end with a neutral end.

Please review Safety Instructions on page 2 before attempting the installation. WARNING

For Ballast Bypass Dual-ended LED Tubes the electricity flows through both ends of the tube. Both ends have the ability to be used as live or neutral. If replacing a fluorescent tube, start the installation with disconnecting the wires and removing the tube and ballast from the fixture. Attach the LED to the fixture and complete wiring by following the diagram below. NOTE: Ballast Bypass LED Tubes are designed to be connected directly to the power source, bypassing the ballast.
