THE FUTURE OF
FASHION
The youth
are here to be
the continuous vehicle to our future.
When we support them and guide them on their journey to
give back, then it helps our societies. Pay attention to them and listen to their
ideas, you may have a genius on your hands or someone who may change the world for the better.
In this Mini Mag, we wanted to highlight a young and passionate designer who is on the rise and not only creates
fashion but who is also showcasing awareness for many social topics that you rarely see young people discuss.
Justin is currently a Senior enrolled in the visual arts program at Lehigh Valley Charter Arts High School for the Arts in Bethlehem, PA. His interest in fashion started at a very young age. He began sewing at age 10 and designed his first line of women’s clothing at age 12. Starting in middle school, Justin became concerned about the decline in funding for the arts. In response he launched a “Just Stand Up” for the Arts charity fund raiser and auction to help support the arts program in his school. Since then, Justin has been actively involved in several fund-raising fashion shows and art competitions focused on supporting arts programs including the annual Flying Solo Fashion Show fund raiser for his high school which he has participated in for four years and has co-chaired since 2013. Justin is inspired to create clothing that brings together art and fashion in a unique way. It is not enough to simply create beautiful clothing. Justin’s goal is to utilize fashion as a vehicle to push the boundaries of social norms and to transform society.

ville, PA. He has also attended The Maryland Institute College of Art Textile Design Summer program in Baltimore and the Parson’s School of Design Sum-mer Program in Paris . Established in April 2009, BW NICE, Business Women Net-
working Involving Charity & Education, is a unique women’s
networking organization that blends the successful building
of women in business with helping other women achieve their
potential in life and profession. Our goal is to bring women
together to gain meaningful business connections, learn new
ways to succeed, and foster an empowering environment. BW
NICE provides a warm, friendly atmosphere that is supportive,
educational and dynamic!
The Red Shoe™ Luncheon & Fashion Show is our flagship
annual charity fundraising event for all of the safe houses and
agencies we support through each of our chapters. It is a day
to celebrate all women in business and make a difference in
the lives of those in need. This event helps raise public aware-
ness and needed funds regarding the devastating effects of
domestic violence, something that impacts all of our commu-
nities. Proceeds from The Red Shoe™ support the immediate
needs of the women and children in local safe and transition
housing and help them gain dignity and hope for a new and
better life.
To date, we have raised over $40,000 over the past four years
and we expect that number to increase significantly as we
continue our Chapter expansion and the number of Red
Shoe™ events.
At The Red Shoe™ event you will enjoy a day of networking,
shopping among local vendors, a delicious luncheon, a spec-
tacular fashion show and photos on our very own red carpet!
We also honor a Businesswoman of the Year, someone who
inspires us with her leadership, energy, concern for others and
commitment to business and community.
The name for this event, The Red Shoe™, came from the BW
NICE logo. It symbolizes our unity and strength as women
come together for a common cause. We wear our red heels
to “raise” awareness against domestic violence and sexual
assault.
