What’s new on the beauty shelves

PJ Powers is just one of many local celebs who have fallen in love with the low-carb, high-pro-tein eating programme, Eden Life. PJ has lost 18kg on the programme and has maintained her svelte figure for two years and counting. “I’ve tried every diet and ‘miracle’ pill on the market,” says the singer, “but all of them either worked too slowly or gave me nasty side-effects, includ-ing depression.” PJ was introduced to the Eden Life programme by a friend but was suspicious of new diets after years of yo-yo dieting. That was until she discovered the secret behind the programme’s success. “The diet is completely health-based. It’s a safe and healthy option and I lost weight fast - I hadn’t even wiped the sleep from my eyes and I’d lost 7kg!” PJ – a real food lover– also found the programme easy to do. “The diet has allowed me to continue to enjoy food. I’m never hungry on this diet so it’s been very easy to maintain.” PJ explains that the pro-gramme also got her into the right mindset. “Be-fore this diet I would see one cheat as the end of the diet. But this programme has changed my attitude towards eating. I now listen to my body, which is why I’ve kept the weight off. It’s just the best feeling being able to get ready every day knowing that everything fits,” she says. “I no longer have to obsess about what I’m going to wear because all my clothes are too small.” Eden Life was started when founder Paula Galvão, a registered pharmacist, overcame her lifelong battle with weight and lost 50kg. After research-ing and mixing various ingredients, Paula developed her first weight loss supplement which, coupled with Paula’s successful approach to weight loss, soon evolved into the Eden Life Weight Loss Programme. Paula recommends that those wishing to lose weight effectively should always be prepared to stick to a tried and tested programme, and make sure you’re never depriving yourself. Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Based on the best-selling novel by Jeff Kinney, this entertaining family comedy chronicles the adventures of wise-cracking pre-teen Greg Heffley as he attempts to survive school and all its challenges (think bullies, wedgies, peer pressure…).
