As your sponsoring Lions, we are all very

impressed by the dedications and commitment the Leo

Club of SMK Puteri has demonstrated throughout the

years, towards carrying out many meaningful projects

benefiting those less fortunate, needy and communities at

large. This is no doubt a reflection of club's enthusiasm

and dedication as Leo members. Lions Club of Seremban

would like to say a big "Good Job" to all of you, and thank

you for your full support in some of our club projects and

activities in the past. I sincerely wish the Leos from

Seremban will continue this right serving

attitude, continue to serve and grow, and have many

successful years ahead. I also look forward to many more

joint projects between both our clubs together in the

It is with great joy and honour to be invited to write a few words for your e-bulletin

Let me congratulate all the members of Leo Club of SMK Puteri Seremban for

having a strong and active club for 18 long years. This year, in particular, I would

like to mention is that you all have actively involved in many meaningful projects

and activities. One of the most innovative project that deserves my praise was

serving together with the Lions, Lions International Peace Poster Contest 2013-

2014. The sponsoring Lions Club of Seremban Central usually organised the

contest at shopping complexes and this year for the first time the club has

decided to change venue to school. Your school was selected, indeed great effort

and hard work done by your Leo members to make it a roaring success and a

memorable one. Another greater joy was that one of the participants won a Merit

Award at the Final Judging Lions International Peace Contest District 308B1

which was held in Kuala Lumpur.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate President, Leo Joey Ma Bao Yi

for her outstanding and dynamic leadership and also all the members of Leo

Club of SMK Puteri Seremban for a job well done. I am very happy and proud of

you all.

It's great honour that i've been elected as

president of Leo Club of SMK

Puteri, Seremban for the fiscal year of

2013/2014. To my fellow committees, we've

been through a lot throughout this fiscal

year and i enjoyed the time with you all.

Although we are from different

backgrounds and ages, but we managed to

carry out the activities successful by

tolerating each others. How time has flown

and it is end of the year 2013 now. I gained

a lot of experience since becoming a

president and i also tried a lot of new stuff

that i never try before.

Lastly, i hope my members will keep

yourself active in the club and grab every

chances that you have. As we said: " We

New Year lunch with YEs

New Year lunch with YEs

On 1st of January, Leos and Lions had a warm

lunch with the YEs from Japan at Restaurant

Dragon Oakland Seremban at 12 noon.Before we

start our lunch, we did have some games such as

musical chairs, collecting objects and so on. The

best part was all of us had to get a balloon and

sit on it to burst it out! Through this we get to

foster our friendships. To have more fun, we also

had lucky draw and photo sections. Afterwards,

the host family of the YEs presented ang pau to

them as 1st of January is Japanese New Year. In

the same time, Leos also presented leo

benerrette to all the YEs as a souvenir. The

lunch was successfully ended at 3.30pm.

On 29th of January ,since the Chinese New Year is around, Leo Club of SMK Puteri Seremban has decided to organized CNY decoration at Puteri school. During the activity, Leos have been paying all their hard work to decorate the school compound with ang pau, lantern and so on.This project was started from 2.30pm-4.00pm. By the way, leos also distributed mandarin oranges to all the teachers, stuffs and guards. Through these projects, teachers and puterians get to know more about leo club program. In the same time, leos grabbed this chance to promote Chinese culture among our school that made up of different races. It was successfully held with the help of Leo advisor, Lion Helen Teo.

Chinese New Year Cheers!

Leo Club of SMK Puteri had organised an Orientation event

right after the Initiation Ceremony of new member that was

carried out on 12th February 2014.

On the Orientation day, the event program were successfully

conducted by the key officers & Board of Director with the

presence of Leo advisor, Lion Helen Teo and the faculty advisors,

Mr. Chin & Puan Lui.. The purpose of having this event was for

letting the new members to share the important information and

understand more knowledge about LEO in the community as

listed below.

After completed the said program, there was having a Quiz

question session to all leo members with rewarded of a small gift

to those who was be able to answer correctly.

The program went on smoothly and the event was adjourned on

4.00pm. After gone through this Orientation program, everyone

of us seems were getting the same mind set about our roles of

LEO member and the Mission of Leo’s project activities as well.

LEO INITIATIONOn 12th February, the day of Initiation Ceremony of New

member, the program started off at 2.30pm with the

singing of Leo song. After that, all the Leos said out the

Leo Pledge leaded by Leo Ally who was the emcee of the

event. All the new members of Form 1 student and some

other members newly joined recently were then inducted

by our Leo Advisor, Lion Helen Teo at Dewan Terbuka

Azizah of SMK Puteri. All new members pledged to be

committed to Leo Club once they have joined the club by

participating to all project activities that to be organized

by Leo Club in due course. They were also get advised to

build up the team work spirit to support on any Leo's

event activities for making it success.After the Initiation

ceremony, Lion Helen Teo were having the orientation briefing

on Leo club program for all the Leos presented there and then

subsequent followed by a enjoyable song singing session. The

event was a success and ended at 4.00pm . Everything went

on smoothly without a hitch .

Treasure Hunt

On 19th of Mac, Leo Club of SMK Puteri Seremban has decided to organized an interesting activity – treasure hunt at Puterischool. Before the activity started, the Leo’s members were divided into 8 groups with 8 leos and a director separately. During the activity, Leos have been paying much effort and co-operation among each other to find the hints given and complete each station to grab the chance of being the 1st place .This project was started from 3.00pm- 4.00pm. Although the leos members were soak with sweat and were exhausted, but they were given a chance to enjoy themselves with friends .Through this project, leos members get to know each other well and thus deepen the relationship between them. At the same time, co-curiculum points were given to the groups who won the 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place. It was successfully organized with the help of Leo advisor, Lion Helen Teo .

LEO SPOTLIGHT ON CHILDREN AWARD

On 5th of December,Leo club of SMK PUTERI SEREMBAN had celebrated International Leo Day with day care children. First of all, leos taught them to read few English vocabulary. Next, we also had mini games with them such as musical chair and the eagle and the chick. Leos also entertained them with colourful balloons and had lunch with them. Lastly, all of the leos signed on our Leo banner as a memory.

After all, our hard works were recognized and we received Leo Spotlight on Children award from Lions Club International on April of 2014.

BOOKMARKS COMPETITION

    On 16 April 2014, we had organise a fun and challenging

activities for the leos to raise

awareness regarding enviromental since it’s the awareness

month! All leos participated in this competition where everyone

will receive a small piece of manila card in the colour of

green which represents nature in the shape of a bookmark and

was instructed to design it using their own ideas following the

theme which is ''nature'' to have better understanding about

it. It lasted for 30 minutes and top 3 winners will get a prize

following with consolation for others. The whole idea of this is to

raise awareness about environmental.
