Liberty was the first ski company to utilize light, strong, and environmentally-friendly bamboo in all our skis. We were also the first ski company to commit to one hundred percent windpower for all our energy needs. We are not perfect, but we do what we can to minimize our impact and keep our winters white.
We live and ski in the heart of the Rockies, here in Avon, Colorado. We have access to an incrediblediversity of terrain, from massive backcountry to world class parks to some of the best resort skiing in the world. Our designs flow directly from this varied terrain and reflect the knowledge gained by our designers and testers over the years.
Mixed rocker and camber profiles, multi-radius sidecuts, application specific tip shape, and hand made bamboo cores are examples of Liberty technology that help you ski better, longer, and faster. Our innovations are based in real-world function, and not marketing hype.
Bamboo Backbone- Every Liberty Ski features a hand-made, bamboo laminate core that is light, strong, lively, and eco-friendly. We fine tune each core and flex pattern for the intended application, but each core starts with the strength and durability of bamboo to give a dependably energetic ride, time after time.
Durathane- A polyurethane bumper to smooth out the ride and protect against topsheet chipping.
Whitewall SidewallsRugged and repairable sidewall material with a layer of rubber below for smooth riding and exceptional durability. Our Whitewalls are made of UHMW which is more resilient than ABS, and can be repaired with P-Tex if you do manage to gouge a hole in it.78 Degree SidewallsCreates increased edge grip and reduces weight. Side-wall construction is tough and affords the best combina-tion of edge grip and turning ease we have found.
HRC 40The HRC 40 edge has a slightly lower hardness rating, with a wider profile and larger anchors to dissipate heat and increase impact resistance.
HRC 48Our specially treated HRC 48 edges feature a wider profile with larger anchors for greater durability and longer life.
Peri-MetalA full perimeter of titanal layer, die cut in the center to gain the vibration-absorbing and edge-pressure benefits of titanal metal without the additional weight. Also helps prevent edge-to-topsheet damage.
Backcountry TailA flatter, stiffer tail for stability in the backcountry and steeper lines. The skin-compatible shape also makes snow anchors, easy kick turns, and opens beers.
Fiber Reinforced Polymer- We use mats of this dense material under the binding area to increase screw retention and to add rigidity.
Cab Forward Stance- Our name for a progressive, more centered stance.
P-Tex 2000- Fast and durable sintered base from the industry leaders.
ABS Sidewalls- Extra thick ABS over the edges helps reinforce against impacts and transmits energy for enhanced edge grip and feel.
Quadaxial Glass- Our custom weave S-Glass cre-ates tremendous torsional stability while allowing easy longitudinal flex to initiate turns and absorb terrain. While more expensive than other bi and tri-directional weaves, it enables us to fine tune the flex characteristics of each ski.

There is a lot of talk about rocker these days, and even more theories about how it should be applied. At Liberty, we believe rocker improves ski performance if applied correctly. In most conditions, a long, low rocker combined with camber under foot gains the most soft snow benefits while preserving hard snow carving performance. Long, low-rise rocker combined with sidecut all the way to the tip and camber under foot al-lows the ski to rise up in deeper snow and eases turn entry, while preserving full edge contact for carving performance. After all, skiing is about carving turns on all types of snow. You won’t see any hard angles or tips flopping 3 feet off the snow on our prod-ucts. You will, however, find thoughtful application of rocker technology that elevates your skiing experience on Liberty Skis.

Our lightest poles have a carbon internal tube that is 48 percent lighter than traditional aluminum, and a genuine bamboo wrap for an awesome look and superior vibration absorption. They also come with a super soft leather grip and strap. Other features include a tungsten/carbide tip and fat powder baskets.

Our toughest poles are made with composite tube that is extremely crush-resistant, while being about the same weight as aluminum. Park grips and extra small baskets complete the setup.

LIBERTY FREERIDE SERIES BINDINGLiberty has partnered with long time market leader Tyrolia to pro-duce a binding that is light, reliable, and designed with aggressive skiing in mind, just like our skis. With a super-low ramp angle, the Liberty Freeride bindings keep you in a balanced and athletic position while the race heel and diagonal toe keep
you locked in and safe. Based on World Cup race bindings, the Freeride features an extra wide mounting pattern and boot interface with higher vertical release force in the toe (compared with horizontally), so it holds up to the high backward lean forces in freeride and freestyle ski-ing. Available with extra wide brakes up to 150mm in width!
