Even today, in the modern age, some people are living their life with wrecked facilities (water contamination ,broken houses etc.,).

Some people are living on the platforms & footpaths. They make the shades of the trees their places to sleep.

Their houses are not near due to lack of money.

They are facing drainage problems which cause hazardous effects on the health of these people.

Residents of these areas do not have proper water supply facilities. Nor the Hand pumps of the Bore wells work. They consume contaminated water and fall sick.

Residents of the slums are living in the unhealthy and polluted suroundings.As a result, many insects are breeding and cause various illnesses.

People living in small houses feel that they are small in the society.

But the people who are living in those big houses, once upon a time they used to lead their life in these small houses too. They believe in the slogan “ SHRAMA YEVA JAYATHY” (“Work is worship”).

Temples are not well developed. Even God is not having proper shelter in those areas.

Due to illiteracy and ignorance, people are surviving with small jobs.

Government is supplying cheap credit to them. The food consumed by most of the people is deficient. As a result, the health and energy of the people is affected.

Due to illiteracy and financial crises, families cannot afford to send their children to school. However, some rudimentary schools do exist in the slums.

However, these people have zeal and enthusiasm in developing themselves day by day, by starting from initial stages.

Literacy and social awareness among the young boys and girls may help to root out the poverty from our society.
