The Life’s Pleasures collection explores man-kind’s desire and its effect on planet Earth. To-day, luxury doesn’t have to ‘cost the world’ and living sustainably is becoming second nature.

When innovation and luxury fashion become merged, high quality designs created with min-imal waste at a low price is produced. In utiliz-ing revolutionary techniques Life’s Pleasures have created an entire collection in which each final product costs less than any other cloth-ing design of this quality. The collaboration with a high fashion brand is the first of its kind in the rapidly increasing eco-fashion world.

This collection marks the beginning of a fash-ion revolution; Marc Jacobs is working to change the nature of man’s desire and the way we consume. By creating luxurious goods that are sustainable, the brand re-defines material-ity so that the word is no longer synonymous with waste and pollution, saving the planet will become second nature. The collection sits with the DNA of the Marc Jacobs brand with their playful shapes and explosive use of colour.

The darting technique consists of sewing down a fragment of fabric in order to give a garment shape. Darts have been used in our shift dress, fitted trousers, reversible silk and wool jacket and cropped blouse.

Draping consists of hanging fabric loosely by specific stitching techniques. The drape creates a smooth hanging effect. We have used draping in our knotted woolen skirt and reversible wool and silk jacket.

Pleating consists of folding a piece of fabric to create a tidy bunching effect. Mariano Fortuny first used the pleating technique however Issey Miyake revolutionized it more recently. We’ve used pleating in our fitted trousers and cotton top.

Creating clothes from squares results in zero fabric waste. The designer cuts a square or rectangle out of a piece of fabric engineering it to create a sub-tle hanging silhouette. We have used squares in our silk trousers and reversible silk and wool jacket.
