From the "Grounds Guy"

Hello everyone, just a quick update from the Grounds Guy.With all the rain we have been having things are growingrapidly. Our new landscape management company is doing aGREAT job in keeping things under control, notice the kudzu. We have also renewed our contract with the Bug Guy and hewill make sure we are all ant and yellow jacket free. Withthat said, if you do notice anything that needs addressingplease feel free to email me and I will get it taken care of.Look for some major sodding to be done on the south side ofthe pool. I will do my best to make sure the impact toenjoyment is minimal, but please do work with me in stayingoff the new sod as long it is marked so.

We are currently in the process of getting quotes for repairs needed to the grounds and the tennis courts due tothe car accident on Sunday, May 26th. We are working closely with law enforcement and our insurance companyto get this entire incident resolved as soon as possible.

Thanks to everyone for all their support and I look forward to a great summer. See you at the pool. ~SandersGreen

Remember the Rules

Please treat this space with the great respect and love that she deserves. Ourcomplete pool rules document can be found here. The most frequently broken rulesare listed below. Please review them with your family and guests. This will help us all enjoy a safe and fun placeto enjoy this summer. Thank you!

~All guests ($2 each) must be accompanied by a member. Members should apprise guests of the rules andmonitor child guests for safety and behavior.

~Glass containers of any type are not permitted inside the pool fence. Smoking is not permitted anywhere onLWSTC property.

~Alcohol is prohibited inside the fence. We understand that adults can legally drink alcohol. No board memberwill go around checking the contents of your cooler or cup. However, being intoxicated on pool property willresult in the consequence of being asked to leave immediately. “Two strikes” rule applies to violent orintoxicated members or guests. You get one warning by a Board member. General membership is encouraged tolet one of us know if you observe unsafe behavior by a member/guest.

~Authorized adults only are permitted in the Shark Shack.

~Children must be monitored for safety and behavior inside the pool fence, in the pool and on the playground.Children in floaties or other flotation devices must be within arm's reach of a parent in the pool. Pool furnitureshould not be used for playing. Babies must be changed on a towel in a grassy area. Tables may not be used forchanging.

~The entire membership is responsible for keeping the pool deck, tables, and grill clean. Please clean up yourarea, wipe down the table, scrape and close the grill (if used) upon leaving. See JeT'aime in the Shark Shack ifyou need cleaning spray or a towel.

A Note from Suzie

We are only a great club if we all watch out for the club and each member. If you see something unsafe, like abroken chair or even a car in the tennis court, please report it to the proper Board member. We encourage youto use email, telephone, or even approach one of the board members at the pool. We had a member (shout outto Jeff Arthur) thwart a car break-in the other night at the pool parking lot! If something is extremely dangerousor life-threatening, you have authority to call 911.

My parents had a simple rule and I hope we can follow it: “if you get it out, put it up”. I also would add “if yousee it out, put it up”. All the great items that the pool purchases are only great if we keep them intact andsafe. If each of us picks up only one item per club visit, our pool will stay clean and beautiful. If we all watchout for each other – adults and kids alike – our pool will be more of the family that we seek.

Respect yourself; Respect the property; Respect each other. We are very much like a family. Each of usdeserves respect and kindness. We are all similar, as we all have joined a common group. However, we comefrom many backgrounds and we bring that wonderful spice of differences. Let us be kind and and respectful toone another.

ENJOY THE SUMMER!
