Ten percent of all contributions will remain in the general athletic department fund with the remaining 90 percent going to the sports specified program. The Lions Athletic Fund is the annual charitable giving program designed to support the evolving needs of the Saint Leo University Department of Athletics and to help provide a well-rounded student-athlete experience.
Financial contributions to the Lions Athletic Fund assist in offering support for scholarships, endowment funding, capital projects, recruiting, equipment, travel, and other immediate needs prioritized by the athletic
department. Our department boasts more than 325 student-athletes and 17 NCAA Division II teams. Other than lacrosse, all of our teams compete in the nationally known and highly recognized Sunshine State Conference. Our success is not only prevalent in athletic competition, but in the classrooms as well as we continue to produce Academic All-Americans, Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll representatives, and an increased number in annual President’s Club honorees. Each contribution to the Lions Athletic Fund is extremely valuable in helping our student-athletes compete at the highest level and promoting an educational environment that will produce tomorrow’s leaders.
