• £27 million was spent on staff costs

• 58% of the staff costs relate to academic staff – to support SSR (Student Staff Ratio) of 1:15.4

• Over 75% of academic staff are qualified to doctoral level – Liverpool Hope University is in the top 10 of all UK Universities for percentage of academic staff with doctorates.

• The University does not outsource any services (all services are provided in-house)

Expenditure supports 5,119 StudentsYear on year the the University has seen an increase in students’ entry points which is averaging over 300.

InvestmentOver the last 10 years, there has been significant investment in buildings and equipment of over £76 million without borrowing.

Recent investment includes £13.5 million for the construction of a Science Avenue, consisting of laboratory and teaching space and sports facilities. Phase 1 the Health Sciences Building was completed in December 2015 at a cost of £8.5 million and Phase 2 commenced in January 2016.
