Location Shots

Page 2: Location shots

To know where we are going to film our trailer, we have gone around the locations to see if they will work with our idea. We have then found suitable settings for each aspect of our film.

These location shots are for the meet up and argument with Mia and her friends. It is in a residential area with a bench. This is to suggest that she is still part of society. Whereas, once she is in the gang, she moves away from being a member of society.

We will use the bench as a place for the friends to sit. Mia will then walk up to them, the argument will happen, then she will walk away.

This location is for when Mia is with the gang. They are hanging out under the train bridge. We chose this location as it is rundown and slightly isolated from the rest of society. It is out of the way which means the gang can be alone without any interruptions. We got the actors to sit on cardboard on the ground in a semi-circle to represent a gang community. The cardboard was used so the actors didn't have to sit on the damp ground during filming.

This location is of the outskirts of a town. The bench is the main focus point for this setting. With the background of the flats, we used this area for Mia walking past the gang and them calling her over to join. We used the bench as it is a place where the gang can come together and meet.

This scene is the last location used in our film trailer. It is when Mia receives a phone call from her mother and the rest of the gang leave her. She then steps out into the the road. We used this road as some cars go past but it is not a busy main road. We also used it as there is a clear definition from the grass area and the main road.

This area is the side they walk up to get to the road, through the grass and bush area. This location was used as it suggests they are in a slightly abandoned, unused area which to them, they regularly visit. Then over the road, the image shows the fence and the grass common to where the gang cross the road to. We used this location as the other side of the road is open so Mia would be able to see them crossing the road and leaving without her.
