LONA BUILDING PROJECTS (PTY) LTD
WORK EXPERIENCE AND REFERENCES
INTRODUCTION AND EXPLANATIONS
The company Lona Building Projects (Pty) Ltd was founded as a result of a renewal and
transformation drive by longstanding construction companies Lona Construction (Pty) Ltd
and its associated company, Louw & Naude Renovation (Pty) Ltd. Lona Construction has
been in operation since 1964 and Louw & Naude since 1971. The new company was
founded in 2000 under the name Motshitshi Projects (Pty) Ltd. Customers however found
the name difficult to pronounce and workers also preferred the old name Lona with which
they were familiar and comfortable. It was then decided to revert to the Lona brand for
the new empowerment company.
Lona is proud of its extended roll of successfully completed works since 1964. The nature of
those works varies from hospital buildings, magistrate’s courts, major renovations to
telecoms base stations. Lona upholds strong values of integrity, quality of workmanship and
service, and is known for it.
Provided hereunder is a list of recent works engaged in and completed with references
and contacts. Should any further information be required it can be obtained from Piet van
Heerden at Lona Head Office tel. (012) 541 2060; Cell 082 880 4223 or
