Please bring bags to KS 2 hall at 8.30 am. All medication to

be given to Mrs Hughes on that morning, named, in

original packaging. Packed lunch required on Day 1.

Itinerary (subject to minor changes)

Day 1: Travel to London with Cumbria CoachesArrive at Safe Stay, Elephant and Castle,

approx 4pm

Day 1 (cont): Evening meal at Garfunkel’s, followed by coach trip to Trafalgar Square and

night walk via Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street, Regent Street then coach back

to the hotel

Coach to Buckingham Palace and walk through St James’ Park, Admiralty Arch, Horse Guards parade, Downing Street,

Purse with no more than £30 in change (will be kept by group leader until required)

iPods or electronic games are allowed but these are the children’s responsibility and

school does not have insurance to replace or repair if they are lost/broken

NO MOBILE PHONES PLEASE. Children are also asked not to contact home via WiFi

RulesOut and about:•Red caps to be worn at all timeswhen “out and about”•Children will be issued with an emergency wristband with phone numbers of staff and hotel•Children to be allocated an adult for their group. They must ensure they follow their adult and all instructions at all times•When disembarking from bus and collecting the group together, Miss Mann will get off first and all children to go to her

RulesIn the hotel:•Once in your room at night you must not wander in the hotel. All rooms are en suite. If you have a problem you will know the room number of your nearest adults.•Please do not send sweets, snacks or drinks in suitcases•We will return to hotel late in the evening and will have a tuck shop open for bottled water, juice and biscuits in case anyone would like to buy anything for last thing at night. Please would everyone bring an additional £1 for the 4 days.

Safety and risk management

•The risk assessments have all been approved by Kym Allan Health and Safety Consultants, who have assured us of their full support and back up.•All staff are experienced in leading residential visits and 3 of us have been to London with previous visits on several occasions

In Case of Emergency•In case of emergency, please contact the school office during school hours on 017687 73017. The office staff will contact the London group immediately and put you in touch with staff

•If you need to contact the London party in an out of hours emergency when school is not open, please call the Hotel directly on 020 7703 8000. This number is only to be used in extreme emergency please.

And finally.....We will have an amazing time but your

children will be very tired on their return!

Please talk to your children between now and leaving about behaviour expectations. We will expect them to be ambassadors for

our school and, for the safety and enjoyment of the whole group, we expect very high

standards of behaviour at all times as we do everyday in school.
