Aladdin PantoAladdin PantoAladdin PantoAladdin Panto Tomorrow, 8th December, Alice Morgan 9L will start her run in the Milton Keynes “Aladdin” pantomime alongside Bradley Walsh and Eric Potts who have previously played characters in

Coronation Street. Alice said, “Bradley and Eric are really ‰unny and so nice to all o‰ us!” Around two hundred and fifty people attended an audition a few weeks ago, where they all learned a dance together and had to perform in small groups in front of a choreographer and the producer. Alice was one of only twenty who were selected. She was originally selected to play a babe (child dancer) and a townsperson, with a solo line to sing; since then, however, Alice has successfully completed a second audition and she has now won a part with lines with Bradley Walsh!! Alice has had three weeks of

hard rehearsals and is performing at alternative shows. We wish her the best of luck on Saturday. Michael Moore, Form Tutor

Year 8 Rugby TournamentYear 8 Rugby TournamentYear 8 Rugby TournamentYear 8 Rugby Tournament - For Emerging Rugby Schools, organised by the English RFU. The following boys participated in the tournament that was held at Aylesbury Rugby Club on Wednesday 28th November 2007: Oliver Hughes James Beasley James Grufety Alex Grogan Fraser Mackay William Jackson Jordan Kent William Hamand Peter Kerby Adnum Osman James Aldrich Maison Murry Unfortunately the boys did not get through the pool stages but there were some great performances from individuals and the boys improved as a team with each game they played and I am sure with some more training and games this team can do really well in the future. Rugby training for all years after school on a Thursday night!

A Royal Visit to the Stadium:MK A Royal Visit to the Stadium:MK A Royal Visit to the Stadium:MK A Royal Visit to the Stadium:MK ---- A Day to Remember A Day to Remember A Day to Remember A Day to Remember

Above: Her Majesty arriving at the Stadium:MK and Lord Grey students enjoying the day’s events.

On Thursday 29th November, Milton Keynes was ablaze with excitement and Union Jack Flags. Her Majesty and The Duke of Edinburgh officially opened the Hub:MK and the Stadium:MK. We were delighted that a number of Lord Grey students were able to join in the fun day at the Stadium:MK.

Chloe Tofield remembered the day. “One hundred and ‰i‰ty Year 8 and Year § students went to the new MK Dons stadium to take part in the opening ceremony by Her Majesty and The Duke o‰ Edinburgh. Featuring songs, dance and storytelling, the ceremony was very lively and colour‰ul. We had to wear white tracksuits and hats to blend in with the other hundreds o‰ secondary school children. It looked very dramatic as all the secondary schools marched on to the pitch ‰rom the concourse. When we got on the pitch we all had to dance to the Dons ‰ootball song and then kneel down on the side as the Queen and Prince Phillip drove past in their car. It was a great atmosphere and we all really enjoyed the day.” Congratulations to all members of the school choir who participated in the opening ceremony at Stadium:MK. Our students performed brilliantly and sang their hearts out during the two anthems that were specially composed for the event. Well done everyone!
