The Monday Night Women’s Bible Study will begin Priscilla Shirer’s “Discerning the Voice of God - How to Recognize When God Speaks” TOMORROW EVENING at 7:00 p.m. By growing closer to God through His Word, you will be able to discern His voice from the voice of strangers as you learn to know His language, character and tone. A New Class . . . begins this Wednesday, September 9 at 6:15 p.m.! This class is for parents whose kids attend the 5 th , 6 th or 7 th grade classes. It’s called “The Oxygen Mask,” based on a portion of the routine announcement made by flight attendants. The class will cover roughly the same material the kids are learning. Even if you don’t have kids in these classes you are welcome to come! Jim Haack will be the leader. Ladies In Fellowship Together (LIFT) . . . It’s time to get apples for those yummy fall recipes! Weather permitting, we will take a leisurely drive to Nebraska City on Monday, September 10. We will leave the church at 10:30 a.m. and then stop at the lovely Lied Lodge for lunch. Come experience the Presence of the Lord in a brand new way. Kingdom encounters are truly an expression of the Father’s heart, who sent Jesus to live and die for all humanity. But it is so much more than that. We all want to die and go to heaven someday, but it is equally important that we live each day in such a way that heaven is manifested here on earth. Kingdom Encounters will be presented by Jay West on Friday, September 28, 6:30-9 p.m. and Saturday, September 29, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. There is no charge but a love offering will be taken. What is a Discovery Class? It’s a class for those who would like to join Beautiful Savior but do not have a Lutheran background. It is also a good review for current members.
