Mojave Audio MA-201 fet Condenser Microphone The MA-201 fet is a large diaphragm, phantom-powered, solid-state condenser microphone with a fixed cardioid pattern. With its roots in a lineage of microphone designs by David Royer, the MA-201 fet gives warm, full-bodied reproductions of vocals and instruments, with none of the shrillness and high frequency distortion artifacts that are often encountered with modern condenser microphones. Utilizing a 3-micron gold-sputtered capsule, high-quality Jensen audio transformer, military-grade FET and custom designed low-noise resis- tors, the MA-201 fet performs at a level reminiscent of some of the best loved classic condenser microphones. Each MA-201 fet microphone is carefully tested and evaluated, then packaged in its protective case with a professional grade shockmount. The Mojave Audio Story David Royer started Mojave Audio in 1985 in the garage of his house. The location was Fullerton, California, and Mojave Audio was a one- man, custom pro audio gear shop. David is best known for his ribbon microphone designs with Royer Labs, but he originally started out designing and building vacuum tube microphones, mic preamps and compressors for engineers in the Los Angeles area. Since the mid 1990's, David's custom Mojave products have been used on a number of well-known recordings and have achieved legendary status among a small circle of high-end engineers. With the launching of Mojave Audio, we are able to bring David's non-ribbon designs to the world. Features: • Hand-selected 3-micron 1” capsule • Jensen audio transformer • Military-grade FET • Custom designed low-noise resistors • Ultra clean signal path Recommended Applications: • Vocals • Voice Over and Broadcast • High SPL sources, such as Kick Drums and Bass Guitar Amps • Electric Guitar • Piano • Drum Overheads, Drum Rooms • Acoustic Instruments Actual size
