Fusebox at Wired Sussex currently houses the Brighton Immersive Lab and the 5G Brighton testbed and offers residencies in Immersive, Connected, AI and Big Data

Our experienced staff will guide you in discovering new ways of working and in expanding your creative ideas.
We will teach through tutorials, seminars, lectures, studio visits and research forums.
Group events organised by staff and students will help to establish a rich and diverse critical community.

Studio space
Working Space for the Graphic Design MA will be provided in the MA Studio room and other rooms within the campus will be available to use/book when needed.
The MA Studio room offers space for seminars and tutorials and space to work independently.

Research
The University of Brighton Design Archives is an internationally significant research base with a curatorial team that initiates and promotes collaborative activity through a programme of projects.
St Peters House Library shelves 100,000 works related to arts and humanities to support the students. It has a Special Collection located on the ground floor containing rare, valuable, and delicate books, illustrated books, artists’ books and handmade items.
Screen Archive South East (SASE) is a moving image archive at the University of Brighton. The screen collection consists of magic lantern slides, film, videotape, digital formats and associated documentation. These records capture many varied aspects of life, work and creativity from the 19th to the 21st centuries and serve as a rich and invaluable historical resource.

You will be solving real-world design problems at a high level, with opportunities to meet and collaborate with fellow artists and designers.
Louise Colbourne
Louise is an arts project director, who has for the last fifteen years worked on a series of exhibitions and events for festivals and symposiums to include Our Machines. This project looks at the relationship between art, design and technology and is funded by the Arts council.
Gavin Ambrose
Author, educator and practicing graphic designer whose client base includes the art sector, galleries, publishers and advertising agencies. Ambrose has written and designed numerous books on graphic design, branding and packaging.
Gavin Fry
