From the Desk of Co-Ordinator
The University Grants Commission has granted Mahatma Gandhi
Study Center to our college form June 2006. The objectives of the centre
are to spread thoughts of Gandhi and create awareness among people and
students. Form the last five years we have been organizing, celebrating
and observing various activities under the scheme, EPOCH Making
Thinkers of India
The patron of our college and KVP Santhas Karmveer V. T. Randhir
passed away this year and it is unhappy event to us. He was great freedom
fighter and having impact of Gandhian philosophy over life. He had guided
us many time. Another sad incident took place and i.e. death of Dr. V.
V.Randhe, Principal and Director of the Centre.
In the academic year 2010-11 we have implemented various
activities. For the organizing and arrangements of the activities the newly
appointed president of KVP Santha Hon’ble Tusharji Randhe, Hon’ble Dr.
S. N. Patel, Principal of college, secretary Mr. Nishant Randhe ,Treasurer
Ashatai Randhe Registrar Rohit Randhe, Vice Principal Dr. S. B Golhit,
D.B. Patil, V.D. Gosavi and teaching & non teaching staff Co-operated us.

Opening ceremony of Mahatma Gandhi
Study Center year 2010 -11
In the academic year 2010-11 Mahatma Gandhi study & Research Centre
celebrating its 5th birth anniversary. The Inauguration of the centre of this
year took place on 12th July, 2010 in Karmaveer Dalan Hon’ble Tushar
Randhe, Hon’ble Nishant Randhe secretary, Principal Dr. S. P. Patil, Dr. A.
N. Mali remained present as chief guests and Inaugurator. Dr. A. N. Mali
address the function & said that its need of time to accept Gandhi and
apply the Gandhian philosophy in our life. Dr.S.N. Patel Principal of our
college & Dr. fula Bagul the co-ordinator of the centre organized the
programe.

Publication “Gandhian Flow”
The ‘ Gandhian Flow’ the periodical publishd every year by our
centre. In the academic year 2009-10 the actives of the centre published in
this periodical. Principal Dr. S. N. Patel published it on 22nd July, 2010 Dr.
F. M. Bagul organised the programe successfully. Vice principal Dr. S. B.
Golahit present for programe.

Lecture on ‘Hind-Swaraj’
Dr. Dyaneshwar Suryawanshi, VWS College, Dhule delivered his
lecture on ‘Hind Swaraj’ on 28th July,2010. he spoke about ‘trinity of life’ in
‘Hind Swaraj’ Principal Dr. Patel, presided the Chair. Prof. R. K. Jadhav
remained present as another chief guest for this lecture, Dr. Bagul
organized the function.

Lecture on “ Role of Women in Gandhian
Movement”
The center has organized the lecture of Prof. Dr.Shobha Shinde,
Head of the Dept. of Comparative Languages, North Maharashtra
University, Jalgaon, on 4th September 2010. On the Role of women in
Gandhian Movement. She addressed that every time the thoughts of
Gandhi are fresh, cheerful and event lasting as long as the earth is alive.

“M eeting over the problems of Khandesh” The study Center has organised meeting on 11th September 2010 in
the central office of KVP sanstha. The research scholars, professors,
teachers social workers and reformers were present to the meeting. The
topic was discussed among the citizens was ‘problems of Khandesh &
solution to it. The freedom fighter Karmveer V. T.Randhir said that, Gandhi
is solution to all the problems in the world. On this occasion Dr. P. B. Patil
[Lokvidhyapeeth, Sangli], Mrs. Paratibha Shinde, Dr. Sudihr Gavane [Vice
Chancellor Y. C. M. O. U. Nasik] , Prof. Shriram Jadhav, Hon. Tushar
Randhe (President KVP) remain present Prin. Dr. Patel, Co-ordinator Dr.
Bagul organizes this meeting.

Lecture on ‘Contribution of EPOCH
making persons to Indian Freedom ’ by
Dr. P. D. Deore
The centre has arranged the lecture of Dr.P. D. Deore, the Dean in
the faculty of Mental & Moral sciences of NMU, Jalgaon on 17th September
2010. He talked about the contribution of the EPOCH Makers in the
Freedom of India. He also admired the way of Gandian Struggle. Hon’ble
Nishant Randhe, Secretory, Principal Dr. S. N. Patel remained present. Dr.
F. M. Bagul arranged the programme.

Workshop on ‘financial thoughts of
Gandhi’
The Centre has organised one day workshop on “The Financial
Thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi” on 24th September 2010.
In the First session Hon’ble Gujrathi has spoke about the financial
thought of Gandhi. Principal Dr. S. N. Patel narrated silent features of
Gandhian philosophy in second session. Dr. Bagual arrange the workshop.

Lecture series on “Need of Ganthian
Thoughts for youth”
The centre has arranged lecture series on “Need of Gandian
Thoughts for Youth”, on 28th September2010. Principal Dr. S. N. Patel
addressed the series. He talked about “Gandhi’s non-no violent revolution”.
All the revolution in the world took place shedding blood but Gandhian
revaluation appeared without of blood drop.
The second flower of the series was picked up by Dr. H. R.
Chaudhari on “ Youth’s Ideal Gandhi”. On 28th September 2010. He says
youth should receives thoughts of Gandhi like discipline, peaceful co life,
regularity. Dr. Bagul organised the series successfully.

Gandhi Week
The center has observed ‘Gandhi week’ from 02/10/2010 to
07/10/2010 various activities were arranged on the life and work of
Mahatma Gandhi. The principal offered garland to the Gandhi statue.
Gandhi Vandana sung by the students. i.e. Vaishnav Jan to tene kahiye.
Gandhi Vichar Pariksha
The Centre has arranged “ Gandhi Vichar Pariksha” on the life and
deeds of Gandhi. On 3rd October 2010 Near about 100 students appeared
for the examination. In this pariksha

Lecture on “ M. Gandhi’s Dandiyatra”
In the Gandhi week on 4th October 2010 the lecture of Dr. Bagul was
arrange on “ Mahatma Gandhi and Dandi Yatra” Principal Dr. S. N.
Patel Chaired the session. Hon’ble Nishant Randhe remained present.
Dr. Bagul Says “Dandi Yatra was the best weapon to oppose British.”

Mahatma Gandhi Quiz Competition
The Gandhi Quiz Competition was arranged by the centre on
“Hind Swaraj” on 5th October 2010. The questions were based on

competition
The centre has arranged Elocution & essay Competitions on
“Gandhi’s life and deeds” on 6th Oct. 2010. Following are the winners in

Granth Bhet
“My Experiment with Truth” the auto biography of Gandhi were
handed over to the students by the principal Dr. S. N. Patel at “ Granth
Bhet” progrmme. On the occasion of concluding of Gandhi week on 7th
October 2010.

"Shram Sanskar Shibir”
The center has arranged “ Shram Sanskar Shibir” of Gandhian
Thoughts on 20th to 30th December 2010, at Balde Tal. Shirpur. Gandhi
gave ‘call for go to villages’, Gramodyoga, ‘Gramswachata’ and
Gramswaraj’. Near about 50 student participated in the shibir and did
shramdan for whole day. The students took the activities for the day were
Gram Safai, Cleanliness of Vitthal Temple and Bhandhara Creation.
In the second session Dr. Pradnya Songadkar, Prof. Raju Pagare,
Prof.V. D. Gosavi, Prof. Nana Patil, Prof. Bagul , Dr. Indrajit Patil presented
their views on Gandhi. Hon’ble Tushar Randhe inaugurated the shibir and
Hon’be Nishant Randhe remained present.

Lecture of Dr. Shaila Dabholkar
The center has organised lecture of Hon’ble Shaila Dabholkar, the
famous Gandhian activiest, satara, delivered lecture on ‘ Development of
life and philosophy of Gandhi’ on 31st December 2010. She spoke about
life and steps of skills in life. Principal Dr. Patel talked about values and
ethics in life. Dr. Bagul organised this lecture. Dr. Tongaonkar, Mr.Avinash
Patil, Smt. Ashatai Randhe, Prof. Paresh Shaha are the other guests for
this lecture.

Picture exhibition
Mahatma Gandhi study centre and Jain Charitable trust’s Gandhi
study foundation Jalgaon have arranged picture exhibition on 5th January
2011. Hon’ble Tushar Randhe inaugurated it. The theme of the picture
exhibition was ‘ Mohan to Mahatma. The teaching and non – teaching
staffed members were remained present.

National conference
The UGC New – Delhi – granted the centre ‘EPOCH making
Thinkers of India’ to our college from June 2006. To spread thoughts of
Mahatma Gandhi. The study centre organises and arranges various
activities every year.

The centre has organised National Conference on 5th & 6th January
2011 on the them – “Thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi : It’s need in Modern
Era”. Dr. Anjula Rajwanshi (R. G. P. G. College Meerut [U. P.] inaugurated
the conference. Dr. Premlata Chutail (Dean, Vikaram University, Ujjain)

The vice chancellor of North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon Hon’ble Dr.
K. B. Patil presided the chair of the valedictory function of the National
Conference. Hon’ble Aashatai Randhe (Treasurer of KVP) Dr. Aparana

[UP]) Dr. S. N. Patel, Principal remained present.
Prof. Dr. Madhukar Patil (G.T.P. College, Nandurbar) Prof. Kokila
Patil expressed their opinions about the conference. Lastly with burinig
candles the conference was over with ‘ Bidai Geet”.
The teaching and non-teaching staff of our college co-operated for
this National conference.

Mahatma Gandhi Death Anniversary
The center has observed the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Dr.
Bagul delived his speech on ‘ The Role of women in Gandhian Movement’
on 30th January 2011. Dr. Rajani Lungse, Head of Dept. of Marathi
remained present. Dr. Patel presided the chair.

Stress Management workshop
On 7th February 2011 Mahatma Gandhi Study Centre organised one day
work shop on stress Management
Prin. Dr. S. N. Patel was the chairperson. Prof. Mrs. Priya Kurkare
was the chief orator. 30 Anganwadi Sevikas was participated in this
workshop. Yoga, acupuncture, Mental peace, Participation in spiritual and
social work is the solution for Mental Stress, says Mrs. Kurkure at this
occasion.
Dr. Bagul and Dr. Mrs. Lungse organized this workshop.

Lecture on ‘Gramodyog’
The vice principal Dr. S. B. Golahit delivered his lecture on financial
Thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi about Gramodyog. He says – Gandhi’s
thoughts are helpful for completion of villages. He presented his views on
‘Mahatma Gandhian Geramodyoga Concept.’ Dr. Bagul arranged the
programme.

Prize distribution
Prize distribution function took place for the various activities done by the
students in the academic year 2010 – 11. on 11th February 2011. Hon’ble
Principal Dr. S. P. Patil Hon’ble Tushar Randhe, Hon’ble Aashtai Randhe,
Hon’ble Nishant Randhe Pricipal Dr. S.N. Patel, the teaching and non -
teaching staff and the student remained present for the function.
Research activities
1) Dr. F. M. Bagul co-ordinator of Gandhi Study Centre delivered his
research speech on Spiritual Base of financial thoughts of Gandhi in
his Hindswarj at Mahila College, Dhule on 10th October 2010.
2) Gandhiwadi chalwalit mahilanche yogdan, a research Article of Dr.
F. M. Bagul published in Book edited by Prin. Ajmera in the month
February 2011.
3) Prof. Dr. Bagul co – ordinator of Gandhi study center presented his
research paper in National Seminar on 10th February 2011 at Mahila
College, Dhule
4) Prof. Dr. Bagul presented his research paper in International
conference on 10th March at shivaji Univesity Kolhapur.
5) Prof. Dr. Bagul presented his research paper in National conference
on 14th April 2011 at Chopada College.
6) Prof. V. M. Patil & Prof. Manisha Varma presented research paper
on mahatma Gandhi at International Conference, Shivaji University,
Kolhapur.
