The “Healthcare Organization and Management” and “Private Medicine Days”
programmes were envisaged for health managers, heads and chief physicians of public and private healthcare institutions.
Department of Health Management of the Institute of Postgraduate Education of O.O. Bohomolets NMU organized the IV Chief Physician School. The Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation “Primary Healthcare in Ukraine: Challenges of the Present” was successfully held within the framework of the School.
The VIII Practical Conference “Private Medicine: Practice Realities” was traditionally held, organized by LMT.
The program also included numerous events devoted to issues of state policy, healthcare reform, financial and economic, organizational, and legal mechanisms for the management of medical institutions.
The Scientific and Practical Program “Laboratory Medicine Days” has gathered specialists and experts for yet another year in a row. The Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation "Problems of Cardiovascular Diseases in Focus of Clinicians and Specialists in
Laboratory Medicine” was held within the framework of the Program, organized by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Association of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine of Ukraine, P.L. Shupyk NMAPE, and Technical Standardization Committee 166.
Laboratory and Metrology Service of NAMS, Inter-institute Reference Laboratory Centre of NAMS, and SI “National Scientific Centre “M.D. Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology of NAMS of Ukraine” held a scientific and practical conference “Infectious Process: Laboratory Diagnosis, Treatment and
Resistance to Antibiotics”, as well as 10 intensive master classes within the framework of the Ukrainian Laboratory School.
This year, manufacturers and distributors of laboratory equipment also took part in the program. CHEMLABORREACTIV, Ukrbio, and Vector-Best-Ukraine held their own scientific and practical events.
The Scientific and Practical Programme “Medical Radiology" took place in the expanded format. A joint meeting of chief freelance specialists of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine took place at the Congress on the specialties Radiology, X-Ray Radiography, Radiation
MAIN SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL EVENTS OF THE CONGRESS
Association of Radiologists of Ukraine, Ukrainian Association of Specialists in Ultrasound Diagnostics, P.L. Shupyk NMAPE Department of Radiation Diagnostics, and LMT conducted a series of workshops within the Ukrainian school of Ultrasound and Functional Diagnostics. Classes were held using the innovative equipment provided by the leading companies of the market.
In addition, a number of topical events were dedicated to innovative technologies in medical imaging, radiation research methods in modern oncology, advanced approaches to the treatment of radiation injuries and many other issues. Among the organizers were: SI “Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology of NAMS of Ukraine,” the National Cancer Institute of the Ministry of Health Ukraine, and SI “Grigoriev Institute for Medical Radiology of NAMS of Ukraine.”
The scientific and practical program “Military Medicine” gathered a lot of attention at the Forum. In particular, the leading specialists of the NAMS have presented their developments, methods and techniques of providing medical care to ATO participants and the affected population.
The Ukrainian Military Medical Academy organized and held workshops and lectures on Standardization of Pre-Primary and Primary Health Care in the Prehospital Phase.
Various issues on the improvement of emergency medical care in Ukraine were discussed at the Emergency and Disaster Medicine Symposium. The Symposium was organized by P.L. Shupyk NMAPE, Department of Emergency Medicine, Department of Disaster Medicine and Military Medical Training Department, departments of KhMAPE, ZMAPE, SI “Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Centre of Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine,” Kyiv City Emergency and Disaster Medical Service, and All-Ukrainian Association of Ambulance, Emergency Aid, and Disaster Medicine Workers, NGO .
A long-term partner of the Congress, P.L. Shupyk NMAPE Department of Hematology and Transfusion, organized a training seminar “Modern Transfusiology: Organization of Transfusiology Care
in Medical Facilities” in cooperation with foreign experts.
NAMS of Ukraine, Association of Cardiologists of Ukraine, and SI “National Scientific Centre “M.D. Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology of NAMS of Ukraine” traditionally held the M.D. Strazhesko International Cardiology School “Modern Approaches to Diagnosis, Treatment
and Prevention of Diseases of the Internal Organs.”

Particular interest of the specialists was drawn to the scientific and practical conference “Topical Issues of Ophthalmology,” organized by SI “Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of NAMS of Ukraine” and the Ukrainian Society of Ophthalmologists.
The scientific and practical conference “Prospects for the Development of Primary Care in
2017” should be singled out among the events that took place at the Forum, organized by P.L. Shupyk NMAPE and the Institute of Family Medicine Within the framework of the scientific and practical program “Functional Diagnostics,” the functional diagnostic department of the SI “A.P. Romodanov Neurosurgery Institute of NAMS of Ukraine” and the department of functional diagnostics with a radiology group of the SI “Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of NAMS of Ukraine” held the Second School of Clinical Neurophysiology “Current Issues of Electromyography (EMG),
Modern Methods of Non-invasive Brain Stimulation.”
Specialists were also able to take part in other scientific and practical programmes: “e-Health and Information Technologies in Medicine”; “Surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiosurgery, Endoscopy, Combustiology”; “Traumatology and Orthopaedics”; “Oncology”; “Therapy, Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Haematology and Transfusiology”; “Dermatovenerology”; “Gynaecology, Reproductive Medicine, Obstetrics, Perinatology, Neonatology, Paediatrics”; “Otolaryngology”; “Urology”; “Medical Care”; “HEALTH BEAUTY: Plastic Surgery, Cosmetology, Dietology”; and “Pharmacy Organization and Management.”
In addition, unique educational schools have been held – Therapy School and Ukrainian
Nursing School, in which students received professional advice.
Despite the economic and political crisis in the country, the Forum is developing rapidly: this year, the International Dental Congress was held under its auspices – a key event for industry professionals and dental service market participants. Co-organizers of the Congress are Dental Association, Association of Ukrainian Orthodontists, Ukrainian Family Medicine Association, and Dr. Dakhno’s Dental Clinic.
