Institutional Governance / Faculty
performance
1. Every Semester the feedback from students with regard to the faculty performance is collected. The suggestions for improvement in performance are communicated to the faculty members.
Senior faculty helps the junior faculty in overcoming the difficulties and help in implementing the suggestions indicated based on student feedback.
2. Every faculty member will submit staff self-appraisal by the end of every semester to the concerned departmental HODs. HOD will forward the same to the Principal with his remarks.
3. Suggestion box/Complaint box is situated in the institute for students in the college

Grievance Redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students
1. A Grievance Redressal Committee comprising of the Principal, Heads of Department and Senior Faculty members addresses the grievances of students and takes necessary remedial action
regularly. 2. The anti-ragging squad constantly monitors the activities of students in class-rooms, hostels, lab and library.

MEDICAL FACILITIES IN HOSTEL
Medical & Other Facilities at Hostel There is a medical aid centre in the hostel for
the need of the inmates of the hostel. There are
two beds and medicines for simple ailments.

1 month from the date of the last examination
generally.
Counseling / Mentoring A tutor is appointed to take care of a group of
students. She cousels and mentors the students
to face the challenges in life and academics.
Career Counselling The Career Development and Placement Cell of
the college offers regular placement training
and offers career counselling to students every
week. Placement drives are also conducted
every year in the campus and students are also
taken to attend campus placement fairs held
outside.
Medical Facilities There is a First Aid Cum Sick Room in the college
to enable students who feel unwell to take rest.
There is also a resident staff nurse who can help
sick students. Students who need hospital
facilities are taken to specific medical centres
who are in agreement with the college to offer
treatment to students. There is a MOU in GVN
hospital as medical assistance for inmates of
hostel.
Student Insurance Group Insurance scheme available for students
Student Activity Body There is an intra department conference and
books reviewed for MBA and MCA separately.
Cultural Activities There is a Fine Arts Club that regularly coaches
interested students to take part in cultural
activities. Fine Arts Contests are also held every
year for students.
Sports Activities Students participate in indoor and outdoor
sports activities conducted by the college during
the Annual Sports Meet and also participate in
sports tournaments held outside. A few
students have been selected to represent the
University and the South Zone in hockey,
netball, volleyball and taekwondo. Students also
learn Yoga and participate in Yoga Meets.
Literary Activities Students are motivated to present their creative
ideas in the College Magazine that is published
every year in March. Literary meets are also
conducted by the Language Departments and
are attended by the students regularly.
Magazine / Newsletter “Voice Of Santhanam" is a Quarterly Newsletter
that brings out various activities happening in
the college. It also provides a report on various
aspects of the college and suggestions for
improvement from stakeholders. A
departmental magazine, souvernir released at
seminars / conferences also accommodate
student creations.
Technical activities / TechFest Every year regional and national-level seminars
are organized to expose the students to the
current and emerging trends in the industry and
how to acquire the needed technical and
administrative expertise to face the industry
and become employable. Training to improve
their aptitude, soft skills and attitude towards
placement is also carried out regularly.
Technical symposia are also conducted to
enable students to exchange their views and
expose their talents with students from other
institutions. Technical workshops are conducted
for students of M.C.A to enable them to learn
new applications. Software Exhibition is
organized to bring out the programming talents
of the students. Technical Symposia and
Management meets are also regularly attended
by students in various other colleges every
semester.
Industrial Visits / Tours Students of M.B.A regularly visit various
industries to gain first hand knowledge of
managerial strategies and learn about the
industry. Students of M.C.A also have to
undergo internship training for two weeks in
some IT company to learn about the industry.
They also carry out their major project work in
industries. This sometimes leads to getting
placed in the same company.
Alumni Activities Every year atleast two Alumni meets are
organized. Those alumni who have been able to
achieve higher positions in industries are
honored during the meets.
