Architectural
Architectural
First impressions are important.
Architectural stone and accents add a
grand and distinguished feature to
a home’s outward appearance. This
home features a very special “vein cut”
Beaumaniere limestone quarried from the
Dijon region in France. From the entryway
to the back veranda, the Beaumaniere
limestone used in the columns, cladding
and arches brings a one-of-a-kind look
to this magnificent structure.
Limestone
Limestone
Pattern and material can define a room’s
character. They work to establish purpose, visual
experience and mood. The distinctive floor
pattern featured in this lobby is a blend of four
limestones from around the world. Cedar Brown
from the Middle East, Bulgarian White from
Bulgaria, Champagny and Massangis
Jaune from France. The four materials are
brought together in a unique geometric
pattern using the beautiful complement
of natural colors and textures.
Onyx
Onyx
The treasured jewel of the natural stone
world…exotic, rare and dramatic. Its
translucent qualities and vibrant colors are
simply mesmerizing. Onyx transforms a space
into a sensory adventure creating visual and
tactile excitement. This master bath features a
multi-colored green onyx. Each slab was
meticulously selected and placed to create
this one-of-a-kind masterpiece. The onyx in
this setting creates a visual experience leaving
one intrigued by the stone’s surface texture
and range of color.
Carvings
Carvings
Carved stone adds a dimension of grandeur
and majesty that is unmatched. With their
imposing presence in a setting, fireplace
surrounds, tub skirts, staircases and
the like are all architectural elements that
can be enhanced with carved stone. The
featured tub skirt is just one such example.
Marble Crafters fabricated and installed this
featured detail to instill a truly unique look
of distinction in this home.
Marbles
Marbles
The strong veining and color of marble
offer endless possibilities for design.
Whether the veining is free flowing,
book matched or mapped to track in a
continuous wave pattern, the look adds
an incredible dimension of beauty and
an aura of authenticity. This featured bath
captures the essence of a “continuous
wave” design marble installation.
Countertops
Countertops
Natural stone has become the preeminent
countertop material. Its beauty, prestige and
durability are unmatched by anything that man
has created. The featured kitchen uses one of the
world's most sought-after marbles for the countertop
surfaces. A very special variety of Calacatta Gold
marble was used for the island and grotto area.
The island is over 10 feet long, featuring a 21/2”
edge profile inspired and collaboratively developed
with the homeowner's input. The backsplash at
the grotto area also features the same material,
allowing the vein match to take center stage.
Restoration
Restoration
The ever present and growing demand
for inconspicuous grout joints had fueled
Marble Crafters’ drive to find new and
innovate ways to produce world-class
installations. The featured floor was
installed by Marble Crafters with 1/16” joint,
then ground and polished, producing
a “smooth as glass” appearance. Seams
are minimal and treated with colored epoxy,
creating the illusion of a seamless floor.
