No it would never work…country is country is country. I guess you could do a ‘classic country’ chart if you
wanted but those stations have never gotten real ratings or you’d see them everywhere thriving like classic rock,
classic hits & adult hits stations.

Dale Dorman on 68RKO is the reason I got into radio and Randy Davis owner or WLAQ 1410 AM Rome, GA took
a chance on a 15 year old kid in 1985 and I’m forever grateful.

An Open Letter of Gratitude to
For 12 years, The Island Time Music Fest has provided 100% of the operating funds for a school for extreme special needs kids on the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico. An all volunteer-based event, a caravan of many of Nashville’s (and beyond) biggest stars donate performances annually to support children who would have no other option of specialized education. It cost the families and children nothing. The musicians and festival pay for every cost.
Unlike many major events, Island Time had no option to cancel. Again, the festival directly funds The Little Yellow School House. Due to the global pandemic, it was announced that this year’s festival was going virtual.
At hearing this, Entercom’s team got on a call and said these 4 words:
“HOW CAN WE HELP?”
And help you did! An army of programming, technical, digital, on-air, executive, and publicity professionals moved rapidly to simulcast the 4-night event on all their Country digital platforms, bringing massive numbers of ears and eyes to the fundraiser.

NETFLIX - “COUNTRY COMFORT”Ok. We all owe a debt of gratitude to Netflix for comfort during the pandemic. And it’s always fun to see how the boob tube captures Nashville. Well, here comes Country Comfort. All we know from this trailer is that there’s a lil’ bit of modern day Hee-Haw meets Hollywood and there’s a foot planted in two towns called Brentwood. In this ode to saying bye-bye, Walker Hayes with his way cool, breezy signature sound missed every opportunity to capture cliches. Instead, we puts an amazingly original spin on the dreams of stardom in Tinsel town. This rambunctious and rowdy video pretty much hits the nail on the “Redhead” as Caylee Hammack rips her way through an average day of parenthood vs devil-child. REDFERRIN - “RED IN MY LAST NAME”This feller’s name says it all. Oh yeah, he’s the real deal. This is a ”dip in his cheek/shower once a week/ride a 4 wheeler/make a hog a squealer” kinda dude with a six-pack, 4-barrel, 5-speed night out kinda guy for sure! Redferrin is a new Warner signing and about as fired up as a pack of Lucky Strikes at a Nascar event. The fashion, the energy, the driving guitars, the smell of gasoline, dirt and barnwood paints a real deal down and Country vibe that is infectious as swimming in green pond water. Charts are weighted using currently assigned points in Mediabase…100% point value for Morning Drive, 90% for Afternoon Drive, 80% for Mid-days, 70% for nights, 50% for Overnights.
2 RETENTION is calculated by listener Tune-In and Tune-Out using trailing 6 weeks, weighting the most recent week double, and the five weeks prior equally.
