Team Background
TEAM BACKGROUND
It all started when a bunch of FTC inspired kids, who won the Australia regionals, wanted to progress to a higher level of FIRST competition and FRC Team 6024 (R Factor) was formed. The first FRC team from
India, R Factor is community team comprising of children from 15 different school across Mumbai, India.
Our team works to build the change we wish to see in the world by solving real world problems with STEM, building personal skills like
confidence, leadership, communication and morality. Due to intense involvement in FIRST from a very young age, 100% of team alumni are
pursuing STEM in college.
The mission of Team R Factor is to Promote, Connect and Integrate the community through robots. Our team members have completed 10000+ hours of service, realizing that the joy of FIRST is in uplifting
others. R Factor is a family and welcomes diversely skilled team members, promoting collaboration and respect and propagating its
vision of #FIRSTWITHOUTBOUNDARIES.
We are a growing family of 100 plus students, alumni & mentors and Aspire to see the day when the entire community can be integrated
as FIRST community.

MyassociationwithFIRSTbeganwithmysonparticipating inFLLand sincethentherehasbeenavolleyofdifferentroleplayingwhichIhavevolunteeredforinalltheFirstevents.
Whether itwasmentoring, judgingororganising theFIRSTPrograms, I haveenjoyed themall.OneofmymostpreciousmomentshasbeenwhenourTeamIndiawontheZhangHengGoldMedal forEngineeringDesignatthe inauguralFIRSTGlobalChallengeinWashingtonDCinJuly2017.
MeetingDeanKamenwaslikeadreamcometrue.With6ofmyfriendswhobelievedthatSTEMProgramslikeFIRSTwerethewayforward,wefounded“WeSTEM”,afreeonlineplatformtocreateasustainablenetworkofSTEMstakeholdersinIndia.Withtheobjectiveofpromoting,connectingand integratingSTEMPrograms,WeSTEMhasmanagedtoreachouttothecornersofIndiaandbringallthoseseekingtobeapartofSTEMnetworkonacommonplatform.

with the LEGOSets since i was 3 years old. I haveparticipated in 2 FIRST Lego Leagues and was apart ofTeam India for the FIRSTGlobalChallenge,2017.My teams’ project called “Shravan: The Stepclimber” has reached the provisional patent stage!I have also participated in theGoogle Science FairandtheIntelScienceFair.
