M.O.V.E (Sr High Event)April 1st-2nd, 3:00 pmM.O.V.E stands for Mission Outreach Venture Experience. The purpose of M.O.V.E is to help bridge the social-cultural gap between rural, suburban and urban communities by challenging students to embrace God’s heart for the poor and oppressed. Students will have the opportunity to share the love of Christ by serving those experiencing unmet needs. Pickup a consent form at the Welcome Center or online, then drop it off at the Church Office before March 21st with your $39 payment to reserve your spot. Bring some extra cash for two meals during the trip. We’re leaving the Church Friday April 1st at 3:00 pm and returning Saturday April 2nd at 9:00 pm. Location: First Covenant Church in Minneapolis.

The February Bibles by the Bedside calendars are due today! For more information on BBB please stop by the Welcome Center and pick up an informational packet.

Parents and preschool/kindergarten families! Grab your trike or bike and bring them to church for a fun afternoon in the Fellowship Center!

Parents of Promiseland kids, meet in the Family Life Center with your favorite gym balls and equipment.

Bring a snack to share and lets have fun! We’ll see you at the church for a wild ride! Contact Julie Barnes at the church office for more details, 320.763.5659.

Receptionist Position AvailableThe Church is accepting applications for a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant position for the Church Office. Applicants must be able to work up to 40 hours/week and have excellent computer, phone and customer service skills. Apply in the church office with your resumé. Office hours are 8:00 am-4:30 pm

• AWANA Cubbies Co-Directors for 2011-2012

• Jungle Sunday School (3 yrs-Kindergarten) Director

• Vacation Bible School 2011 Co-Directors for Preschool and Elementary levels. Training and Mentorship from current leaders will equip you to transition into leading these programs.

Benevolence and Communion SundayPlease be aware that Benevolence and Communion Sunday will be observed the second Sunday of March & April, and the third Sunday of May. However gifts are always welcome at any time of the month. If you would like to give toward those in financial need within our community please write Benevolence in the memo line of your check and place it in the offering plate.

This year the NW Conference Spring Renewal Event will be held at Minnehaha Academy, 3100 West River Parkway, Minneapolis. Register by March for the discount price of $35 or by March 14 at $45. This event has great programs planned and will be worth your time and effort to attend. For more details on the NW Conference Spring Renewal Event pick up a flyer at the Welcome Center or/and call Gloria Lundblad 320.762.2218 or Marilyn Anderson 320.834.2362.

Haiti Breakfast FundraiserMarch 20th, 8:30 am–12:30 pmPlease join us for a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning. A Free Will Donation will be collected at the door. All proceeds will go towards the Short Term Mission Trip to Haiti. For more information contact Jim Winkels at [email protected] in the evenings, and weekends by phone, 320.219.8930.

Remember to set your clocks forward one hour, next week March 13th. Spring forward!

Lake Beauty Bible Camp is our church supported camp located near Long Prairie, MN. Each year, dozens of people from Alexandria Covenant attend retreats and camps at LBBC. They offer an amazing place for encouraging youth, adults and families, as they grow and are encouraged in their relationship with Christ. Today, you can help send our students to LBBC! If you would like to help campers from Alexandria Covenant offset the cost of camp registration, please write a check to ACC with LBBC in the memo line and place in the baskets at the rear doors as you exit. Thank you for investing in the lives of our youth as they grow in their relationship with Christ!
