Tours & Excursions

Trip to Traffic Park

School children are one of the most vulnerable categories of road users. Unlike

grown-ups, children can be easily molded and what they learn at this stage

remains in their minds forever.

The objective of the trip was to educate the

children about various Traffic Rules. The

children were accompanied by school teachers.

On reaching their destination, the children,

after taking a round, were updated about

various road signs and traffic rules that one

needs to follow when on road. The children

grasped the information with utmost interest. It was indeed a learning

experience for the students. Chocolates & certificates were given to students as

a token of love from the authorities.

World Heritage Week

is celebrated in India from 19 – 25 November every year.

The students of class IV were taken for a Heritage walk to Sunder Nursery,

Delhi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on 27 Nov. 2018 It was led by community

heritage volunteers from Nizamuddin. The main attraction was the Central

Park which has over 300 types of trees, making it Delhi's first arboretum. The

students were amazed to see multi-coloured flower beds, trees laden with fruits

and a pond with lotus of different colours. While exploring this place the

students felt the historical vibes emanating from each and every part of the

nursery.

There are six historical structures within the nursery. Sunder Burj, one of the 6

monuments, is an alluring tomb that features intricate inscriptions on the

walls, and star-shaped patterns on the ceiling. Apart from the historical aspect,

the students also learnt about an environmentally beneficial ecology.

To make the students aware, respect and value the

cultural heritage of our country, an educational trip to

Humayun’s Tomb, New Delhi was organized on 8th

October for students of Class III. The students learnt

about the architectural style of the structure and its

importance in our history. To further enhance their

experience, they also took part in a drawing activity in

the lush green lawns.

The students of Class I went to India Gate, New Delhi on

26th

November,2018. The children were fascinated by the

beauty of the monument. They listened, wide eyed to the

significance of the war memorial which was built in the

memory of the soldiers who laid

down their lives during World

War I and about “Amar Jawan

Jyoti”

They enjoyed the trip on the

bright sunny morning.

My Expressions

The art of storytelling is about bringing stories

to life and puppets provide us with a great way

to do just that. Hand Puppets are an ideal

springboard for developing speaking and

listening skills. Keeping this in mind Story

Narration using hand puppets was held on 13th

October 2018 on the day of the Parents’ Teachers’

Meet.

treat for the parents to see their children perform on stage.

Inculcating the Sporting Spirit & Developing sporting

culture

The importance of sports encompasses more than just the benefit of physical

activity. It helps in enhancing self-esteem and mental alertness among

students. It also teaches punctuality, discipline and teamwork.

organized on

Monday, 8th October,

2018. The crowd experienced a thrilling

performance with the two teams exhibiting

their best in the match. The final match

exhibited sportsmanship from both the team

with victory falling into the lap of class VA.

While the winners were cheered, the efforts

of the runners up were equally

appreciated. Both the teams presented an

impressive show.

An Intra class football was organised for the

students of class III. The first match between

Team Panthers & Hustlers took off with a bang.

An effective gateway to teaching

Theatre acts as a positive catalyst for the students to develop intellectually and

emotionally. It fulfills all types of learning and enhances the development

process. The inherent objective of ‘Theatre in Education’ evidently is to embolden,

empower and enshrine the spirit of confidence in kids!

The students of class III of

Cambridge School Greater

Noida performed on ‘Fun

with light’ on 26th

Oct.,

2018.

The students of Class V put

up a lovely play based on ‘Robinson

Celebration Time

Diwali

Students of classes I to V enthusiastically participated in various activities as a part of

Diwali celebrations and activities in the month of November. The little ones of classes

I and II made colourful lanterns using pastel sheets. Students of class III made

beautiful wall hangings using pastel sheets, a medley of colours, patterns, textures and

design. In India we have a tradition of making rangolis to celebrate festivals. Class

IV made vibrant and attractive rangolis again using papers. Diwali is incomplete

without hanging a toran(door decor) of the entry door. The class V brigade made

Diwali torans using paper and other decoration material. The above activities are

organised frequently to encourage, nurture and showcase every child's natural or

innate creative flair and imagination.

Children’s Day holds a special place for

everyone. The students and teachers of Cambridge School,

Greater Noida celebrated the occasion and the birthday of

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru with utmost joy and

excitement. The importance and significance of this special

day was explained to the young children. A surprise a

storytelling session was organised for the Pre-Primary and

Primary students by well-known children’s writer and story teller Ms.

Anupa Lal. The small children sailed through the dream world of stories

holding her hand. She enthralled the children with her eloquence and

simplicity. She also encouraged the students to read as much as they can as it

is the best hobby they can ever develop. She took great interest in answering the

students’ questions spanning from her life experiences to the interesting stories

narrated by her.

well spent as it just turned out to be a sensational

day, a day which will remain etched in every

child's memory!
