This term, Year 10 students will need to choose the subjects they would like to study in the Preliminary and HSC

An information booklet which includes the process for subject selection and subject information can be found on our website http://mccww.catholic.edu.au/index.html.

Go to the ‘Curriculum’ tab, then select

T

Tahliah Vecchio has just returned from competing in the Westfield

National Youth Championships in Soccer at Coffs Harbour from 7th to

11th July. To be selected to participate at this level you have to be rated as

one of the best 15 year old girls Soccer players in Australia.

Tahliah has trained for months prior for this honour. Her training has

included 5 State Training Camps and 3 Trial Camps held around the

state. She also travels to Wagga Wagga every Friday for representative

training.

She has also played in the NSW Country Team at a National Tournament,

where she was part of the winning side.

Tahliah is now continuing to play in the Woman’s Premier League for the

Western Mariners – which will hopefully continue to open many doors for

her in the future.

She has achieved all this success along with achieving an excellent

College Report.

Marian Catholic College is very proud of her achievements and would like to congratulate Tahliah on all her success and

wish her all the best for the future.

The following students were successful in selection for the Wagga Wagga Diocesian Athletics team competing at the NSW

Combined Catholic Colleges championships on Friday 12th September 2014, at the Sydney International Athletics

Centre, Homebush.

Darcie Carnell Jaeden Andreazza

Samuel Scarfone Suzanne Rinaldo

Tesa Zanesco Andrea Zanatta

Laura Zanatta Anthony Scarfone

Blake Schaefer Noah Negus

Marian Catholic College would like to congratulate all these students on such a fantastic effort in gaining selection and

wishes them all success when competing at Homebush.

Connor Lynch was a member of the under 18 National Indigenous rugby

union side that won at the National Schoolboys Carnival in Sydney.

They defeated Victoria, South Australia and Northern Territory teams to

take out the second division. His selection in this prestigious team was a

great achievement
