Dear Parents, Students and Friends
Welcome back to another term. Term 3 is the final term for our Year 12 students and we wish them every success as they prepare for
the HSC Trials. Please continue to encourage them to work hard and focus on the rest of the school year and keep them in your
prayers. The last HSC Support Night will be next Tuesday 22nd July commencing at 6.30pm in the library. The first half hour will cover
important information concerning the Graduation, then topics will cover, Exam Techniques, Note Summaries and University Early Entry
Requirements. All Year 12 students should attend, along with at least one parent.
Term 3 is also an important term for students moving from Year 8 into Year 9 and Year 10 students moving into the HSC years.
Both groups of students will be choosing new subjects and the selection process commences soon for Year 10. Please be aware of
important meetings that affect both year groups over the next few weeks.

Tahliah Vecchio has just returned from competing in the Westfield
National Youth Championships in Soccer at Coffs Harbour from 7th to
11th July. To be selected to participate at this level you have to be rated as
one of the best 15 year old girls Soccer players in Australia.
Tahliah has trained for months prior for this honour. Her training has
included 5 State Training Camps and 3 Trial Camps held around the
state. She also travels to Wagga Wagga every Friday for representative
training.
She has also played in the NSW Country Team at a National Tournament,
where she was part of the winning side.
Tahliah is now continuing to play in the Woman’s Premier League for the
Western Mariners – which will hopefully continue to open many doors for
her in the future.
She has achieved all this success along with achieving an excellent
College Report.
Marian Catholic College is very proud of her achievements and would like to congratulate Tahliah on all her success and
wish her all the best for the future.
