Construction Details:

Solid fibreglass hull, good condition.

Frames : Bulkheads glassed to hull, good condition.

Stringers : nil.

Ribs : appear in good condition.

Fibreglass stem & stern posts in good condition.

1” fibreglass deck in good condition.

Hull to deck fastenings : s/steel bolts & fibreglass, appear in good

condition.

Ballast : lead bolted to stub keel with 12 x 1” s/steel bolts.

Under water Hull:

Shaft : 1 ½” (35mm) s/steel in good condition.

Prop : 20 ½” - 3 blade bronze in good condition.

Rudder & Fastenings : Fibreglass on 2” (50mm) s/steel shaft, good

condition.

Pintles & gudgeons : S/steel, good condition.

Bronze stern bearing, good condition.

13 x skin fittings for engine, toilet. transducer, cockpit drains, sink

outlets, bilge outlets, speedo etc. appear in good condition.

No osmosis.

Antifoul : newly applied this slipping.

Retractable bow thruster lowered in this photo with 12v operated motor

then withdrawn into hull.

Above Water hull/topsides:

Painted gel-coat white in good condition.

Deck & Housing:

s.v. “Pegasus X” 6.

Safety lines : Stainless steel wire, with top rail being s/steel

tubing, good condition.

Stanchions : Stainless steel, well secured and in good condition.

Pushpit/pulpit : Stainless steel, well secured, good condition.

Toe-rail : fibreglass, good condition.

3 x alloy/perspex hatches on cabin top, good condition.

F/glass hatches in cockpit, good condition.

All deck fittings well secured and in good condition.

Non-skid decks.

S/steel & timber (Teak) duckboard, good condition.

S/steel davits in good condition.

Fibreglass dog-house fitted with awning in good condition.

Fibreglass cockpit overlaid with teak, appears in good condition.

Self-draining cockpit.

Alloy mast appears in good condition.

2 x sets of spreaders appear in good condition.

Mast is deck-stepped. Step & fastenings in good condition.

Chain plates & fittings : Stainless steel, appear in good condition.

Amel electrically operated headsail furling system, age unknown,

fair condition.

12v in-mast electrically operated furling system for mainsail.

Mainsail can also be manually furled.

Sail Cupboard :

1 x genoa/headsail, good condition.

1 x furling mainsail, good condition.

1 x mizzen sail, good condition.

Other sails : storm sail, No. 2 genoa.

1 x spinnaker.

leakage.

Engine mountings in good condition.

Fuel and exhaust systems appear in good condition.

(reported by owner : wet exhaust and hose replaced Dec. 2020)

Bronze ball valves/shut-off valves for engine through hull fittings

appear in good condition.

Fuel capacity – 450 litres contained in 1 x s/steel tank with shut-off

valve. Good condition.

Water capacity – 1000 litres contained in 4 x f/glass tanks.

Shut-off valves. Good condition.

condition.

80 litre 12v eutectic refrigeration/freezer in good condition.

240v Hisense bar fridge, good condition.

Electrolux microwave oven.

Summary :

The sailing vessel “Pegasus X” is in good overall condition taking into

consideration her age.

The vessel was professionally built and fitted out.

This vessel is well maintained by her owner.

This report is the result of a visual inspection of the vessel and its

equipment. I have not inspected other parts of the structure which are

covered, unexposed or inaccessible and I am therefore unable to report

that any such part of the structure is free from defects. Examples of such

areas are behind moulded liners, panelling, under engines, or ballast or

any permanently built-in items. Machinery, electrical, ancillary

equipment and safety gear has been inspected as seen in position without

dismantling or test. Whilst due care is taken in the compilation of this

report it is not possible for a Surveyor to guarantee that the vessel is free

of defects.

Spars and rigging are visually inspected as seen in position without

dismantling or test. Spars and rigging are visually inspected from deck

level only. Sails are ‘cabin inspected’ only.

I am neither a diesel mechanic, rigger nor electrician, and if required,

these tradespeople should be contacted for further report.

This report covers the state of the vessel at the time of inspection.
