SALVATION, inspired by Apocalypse
Now, Platoon, and Saving Private Ryan,
was designed to illustrate the stark real-
ity that war is hell. Armed with a twen-
ty-paged screenplay, authentic Viet-
nam-era military clothing, and a cast of
a dozen actors, Salvation was filmed over
a three-week period in the summer of
2005. The film would require a complex
mixture of practical and digital special
effects, utilizing Adobe After Effects to
insert explosions, bullets, and blood to
enhance the most harrowing scenes in
the film. The result would be an exciting
film that attempted to bring to life a spec-
tacular, frightening, and thought-pro-
voking story of one young man against
an entire war — both inside and out.

GANGSTERS AND VENGEANCE
is a love letter to the films of Martin
Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino. Tense
and dark, Gangsters and Vengeance is set
in one room with a cast of five actors.
The story begins with an ordinary poker
game on an ordinary night, but as the
whiskey bottles empty, tempers flare
and guns are drawn. Shot in stunning
black and white, Gangsters and Ven-
geance was, like Salvation, an enormous
effects show, utilizing both practical
and digital special effects. Adobe Pre-
miere Pro and Adobe After Effects were
used to recreate an era when gangsters
ruled and gunshots rang out in the
night. Sex. Money. Murder. Who knew
playing poker could be so much fun?
Gangsters and Vengeance
FILM is a visual medium and The Beau-
tiful Woman is a testament to that. The
screenplay was written without any
dialogue and was intended to tell a vi-
sual story from beginning to end. In-
spired by the films of David Cronenberg
(The Fly) and Francis Ford Coppola
(The Godfather), the look and feel of
The Beautiful Woman was a marked
change from Salvation and Gangsters
and Vegeance. Although the film did
not rely on visual effects to enhance
the story, The Beautiful Woman was a
complex production, requiring two
weeks to shoot and over 100 hours of
editing, utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro.
Ultimately, the film succeeded in its
goal of telling a moving, timely sto-
ry — without uttering a single word.
The Beautiful Woman
ADRENALINE is the driving force
during Sanfermines, an annual event
known worldwide as the Running of
the Bulls. Held each July in Pamplona,
Spain — a small town in the Navarre
mountains just south of France — San-
fermines is, at five hundred years old,
one of the world’s most popular sport-
ing events. It is also one of the most dan-
gerous. Chasing Red features interviews
with those intimately involved with the
event, including long-time bull runners,
Matadors, and Spanish government of-
ficials. Shot over the course of six years,
Chasing Red is a breathtaking look at a
controversial, thrilling, and uniquely
old-world event still thriving in our
own very modern world. The produc-
ers of Chasing Red utilized high-quali-
ty Red Epic digital cameras to film the
event from every angles, ensuring an
exciting, pulse-pounding experience.
