Challenges

• Committee(s) utilized as a networking opportunity

• Limited participation in some areas

• Limited understanding of issues or lack of understanding that customers face

• Not synergizing with other committees

• No common statewide goal established

Page 3: Market Committees - Colorado Ready Mixed Concrete Association

Steps to address the Challenges

Step 1 – Create a statewide mission statement

Step 2 – Identify each region and its needs, internally (industry) and externally (customers)

Step 3 - Begin utilizing the strengths within the existing participants, create a synergy with other committees, and extend outwards

Statewide Mission Statement

The statewide CRMCA mission for marketing is to expand awareness and educate specifiers, contractors, decision makers, and members regarding the full capabilities, benefits, and innovations of concrete which will stimulate and

build increasing momentum for the usage and expansion of the concrete scope of construction.

This would be accomplished, with a unified approach, primarily through localized Market Committees involved in educational seminars and training sessions promoting new or proven technology and methods regarding the

benefits of constructing with concrete.
