WHO WOULD SELL/PROMOTE OUR MEDIA

TEXT?

For our trailer to be a success and in order for the audience (especially my target audience: previously discussed) they need to be aware and know what is happening and at least have seen our trailer. This way they would be aware of our

work. Now this would only work if ownerships and companies were willing to ‘promote’ our work.

On the previous slide, there are examples of media institutions who would possibly be willing to promote our work. Reason for this, is because they are all in the same

media industry – Film, and also if this was a real life situation both would benefit with this, as long as our work is appealing enough to our target audience and perhaps

even attract others.

REASON

IMDB: They would possibly present our trailer as that’s what they do. Give background information, reviews etc. about upcoming films and much more. Giving links to our actors, ‘Mars Studios’ etc. This would be beneficial to our audience, as they could research any question or even curiosity they may

have.

Netflix: Although they are mostly based on showing films, they could perhaps show our trailer automatically before a film of the same genre is about to show/be played. Or even add our trailer to a

category of ‘Soon Coming’ and who ever is interested enough could just play the trailer so they have an idea of what the film will be about, and see if it’s good for future reference.

Previews (i.e:Cineworld/Odeon): Probably the most effective out of all chosen media companies, because itt would appeal most to film lovers. Thousand of people go cinema during a week and spend money to watch a film that’s already in the cinema. But before their film starts they have to watch other trailers,

and they have no say on what’s previewed. So, if our trailer was to be promoted this way, other audiences (not just who we’re targeting) would witness a preview of our work, and because it’s based on a fairytale with a twist, I’m conscious parents or even people who were told the story as little would be

excited and interested to watch the whole film.

YouTube Channel (i.e.: Mars Studios): I believe this would be another effective and successful to promote our work, however it would not fully work if people have never heard of the trailer before. I believe the

idea of this YouTube channel is a good idea although it would work best as a original source. For example, for our work to be promoted somewhere and announced on it, and with a link of the YouTube

channel for ‘more information’
