As  a  successful  multiple  six-­‐figure  business  owner,  I  understand  the  excitement  and  fear  that  you  feel  as  you  look  to  up-­‐level  your  business.    I  started  my  own  business  for  one  reason:  I  was  ready  to  live  my  dream  in  service  to  the  world.    Even  though  I  had  been  successful  in  a  previous  business,  I  had  no  idea  how  I  was  going  to  pull  it  off,  at  first.    Eventually,  through  divine  guidance,  I  saw  the  potential  to  use  Incredible  One  Enterprises  to  change  my  life  and  the  lives  of  others  and  so  I  actively  began  marketing  my  business  using  the  strategies  I  will  map  out  here  for  you.    

I  was  once  a  struggling  business  owner  who  made  a  non-­‐negotiable  decision  which  led  to  a  solid  5-­‐figure  business  in  2009  and  a  6-­‐figure  business  in  2010!  And  since  2010,  I  have  increased  my  income  by  more  than  double  each  year  and  I  am

steadily  climbing  towards  the  7-­‐figure  business  mark.  It  wasn’t  as  easy  as  it  may  sound,  until  I  learned  several  of  the  marketing  secrets  that  I  am  going  to  share  with  you  today.

Why  Marketing  and  More  Importantly,  Marketing  Streams?  

 

While  I  know  that  one  of  the  perks  of  starting  your  own  business  is  that  you  get  to  run   the   show,   I   also   know   that   all   businesses   need   killer  marketing  materials   if  they  desire  to  make  an  impact  in  the  marketplace.    I  further  know  that  even  with  fabulous  marketing  materials,   you   still   have   to  do   the  work,   create   the   systems  and  get  those  materials  into  the  hands  of  people  who  are  ready  to  buy  what  you  have  to  offer.  

The   Universal   Law   of   Business   says:   “Find   a   group   of   people   who   have   the  problem   that   you   solve   that   are   ready   right   now   to   pay   for   a   solution   to   that  problem  [in  the  form  of  your  product  or  service].”  

Marketing  is  the  oxygen  of  any  business  that  desires  to  breathe  for   long  periods  of   time.     It’s   essential   to   ensuring   that   your   products   and   services   get   into   the  hands  of  the  people  who  need  them  to  change  their  lives/situations.  

In   its   simplest   form,  marketing   is   designed   to   identify   the   customer,   satisfy   the  customer  and  keep  the  customer  for  life.    Marketing  is  about  strategy;  strategies  to  grow  your  customer  base  through  serving  and  meeting  a  defined  need.

Networking  

Nothing  happens  until  somebody  sells  something,  right?  Well,  you  can’t  sell  if  you  don’t  network.    

Networking  is  the  lifeline  of  your  business.    It’s  the  quickest  way  to  gain  new  ideal  clients,  hands  down.  It  allows  you,  when  done  correctly,  to  make  an  immediate  impact  on  those  you  meet  and  with  consistent  follow-­‐up  strategies  those  conversations  will  turn  into  contracts  and  checks  that  clear!  Without  a  constant  flow  of  ideal  clients,  you  will  not  sell  product  or  grow  your  business.    If  you  want  to  really  influence  the  success  of  your  business,  I  recommend  that  you  learn  how  to  network.    Unfortunately,  many  people  are  networking  incorrectly.  Once  you  find  a  networking  script  that  works  for  you,  and  that  is  completely  authentic  to  who  you  are,  use  it  consistently  and  track  you  results.  

Be  sure  you  have  an  irresistible  offer:  one  that  will  make  them  say  yes  right  on  the  spot  to  giving  you  their  contact  information  so  that  you  can  follow  up  and  get  them  on  your  calendar  for  a  get  acquainted  session.    Samples  of  irresistible  offers  include:

Articles  

One  of  the  best  ways  to  showcase  your  expert  status  for  the  problems  you  solve  is  to  write  articles  or  a  blog  that  are  compelling,  offer  tips  and  techniques  and  leave  the  reader  with  a  call  to  action  or  next  step  to  learn  more  about  getting  you  to  really  solve  their  problem.  Once  you  write  an  article,  you  can  have  it  distributed  to  many  article  marketing  sites  to  increase  your  visibility  and  client  attraction  abilities.  Some  of  my  favorites  include:

Social  Media  

With  so  many  people  using  social  media  today,  it  is  likely  that  your  ideal  client  can  be  found  there.  To  use  social  media  effectively,  you  must  ensure  that  your  profiles  represent  consistency…same  messaging,  same  pictures,  etc.  You  should  have:  

• Facebook  fan/business  page  (in  addition  to  or  instead  of  a  person  page)  • Linked  in  profile  (be  sure  to  get  recommendations)  • Twitter  page  

I  also  recommend  that  your  post  be  client  magnetic  –  meaning  each  post  has  the  keys  to  pull  them  into  your  world  and  tell  them  how  to  learn  more.

Must  Do’s  

Here  are  my  recommended  “must  do’s”  if  you  want  to  grow  your  business.  

1) Clarify  your  reason  why  Knowing  why  you  starting  this  business  will  fuel  your  journey.  

2) Set  a  non-­‐negotiable  goal  with  a  date  of  completion  A  goal  without  a  deadline  is  useless.    Make  it  impossible  for  yourself  to  go  against  your  goal.  

3) Create  a  marketing  plan  for  your  business  Outlining  a  weekly,  monthly,  quarterly  and  yearly  marketing  goal  for  bookings,  sales  and  new  team  members  will  keep  you  focused.    What  gets  attended  to  gets  done.  

4) Surround  yourself  with  people  who  support  and  believe  in  your  goal  You  become  like  the  5  people  you  spend  most  of  your  time  with.    If  they  aren’t  supporting  themselves  and  their  goals,  you  won’t  either.  

5) Hire  a  qualified  mentor  or  coach  to  assist  your  development  Investing  in  a  mentor  or  coach  is  essential.    If  you  could  do  it  yourself,  it  would  already  be  done.  And,  until  you  invest  in  you’ll  never  earn  it.    

6) Work  toward  your  goal  each  day  Daily,  consistent  action  is  what  leads  to  big  results.  

7) Let  nothing  stop  you  from  growing  your  business  If  you  can  be  deterred,  you  will  be.    Decide  right  now  that  this  is  your  time  to  shine.  

8) Share  your  products  and  services  as  often  as  you  can.    It’s  not  good  to  keep  it  to  yourself.  

9) Never  give  up  You  never  know  what  is  around  the  corner;  you  always  give  up  a  moment  too  soon.
