A marriage ceremony usually has

three stages:

1.Engagement 2.wedding. 3. Feast

The two distinct words used in the Bible forengagement are:

Betroth, Hosea 2:19-20

Espouse. (2 Cor 11:2)

Espouse meansDesire to possess or longing for

To woo a virgin or entreat.

Betrothal, its Aspects Betrothal prepares the bride and bridegroom to enter into

a permanent relationship.

Secondly, it initiates a personal and progressiverelationship. Jer. 2:2; Rev. 2:4; Prov. 5:18-19; Eccl. 9:9;Gen. 29:20

Finally, it is a pure relationship. Hosea 2:20II Cor. 11:4

Preparation on the earth Holy Spirit Our Lord gave an assurance of sending the Holy

Final beautification of the bride Eph.5:27 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him:

for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wifehath made herself ready. And to her was grantedthat she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean andwhite: for the fine linen is the righteousness ofsaints,(Rev. 19:7-8). to present you holy andunblameable and unreproveable in his sight,(Col.1:22).

Before the FatherTime andPlace of Marriage

Finally, the Lord takes us to the Fathers

house, John 14:1-4; I Thess. 3:13 Christ will present, the glorious, faultless Church

with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour,Jude v. 24, 25; II Cor. 4:14-15; Rev. 19:11

The Marriage of the Lamb will take place after

the Rapture of the Church and before theSecond Advent of Christ on the mountOlive.Rev. 19: 7-8; Rev. 14:13 .

The rewards at the time ofJudgment seat ofChrist shall adorn her.

Church will ascend from the earth at thetime of Rapture.

2. The Church will meet the Lord in themid-air.

3. The Judgment seat of Christ will be in

the mid-air. 4. Now the Church is being dressed up

for the marriage,

vent 5. The Church and Christ will ascend to heaven,

and Christ will present the gloriously adornedChurch before the Father in Heaven.

6. The Marriage of the Lamb will take placein heaven before the presence of the host ofangels and the Old Testament saints.(Eph 4:8 ;Heb 12:22-24)

7.After the marriage, the Lord will descendfrom heaven, upon the Mount Olives for thedeliverance of Israel. This is the second phase ofHis coming called Second Advent.

The Bridegroom and the Bride

Jesus Christ is the bridegroom. Matt. 22:1-14; Matt. 9:15; Rev. 21:9-11; John 3:29.

The Church is the bride , purchased and

sanctified by His precious blood. (Ps. 45:9).

The church is all glorious within: her clothingis of wrought gold. She shall be brought unto

the king in raiment of needle work: the virgins,her companions (Israel) that follow her shall bebrought unto thee, the king, (Ps. 45:13-14).

place in heaven there will definitely be

all the angelic hosts to witness thisunique marriage in the universe.

It will be conducted in the midst ofHallelujah (means Praise the Lord )

chorus. As John sees it, (Rev. 19:6).

In death, a believer is absent fromthe body and is present with theLord.

Old Testament saints ? - occupyintermediate body till the

resurrection (II Cor. 5:3; 6:11; Matt. 17:3I Sam. 28:14. Luke 16:24, Rev 6:11, note theusage finger, garment etc., )

The Participants

Marriage feast The Marriage feast will be held

on the earth. All the saints willattend that, including Israel andthe gentiles saved during

tribulation(Matt. 22:1-14; Luke 12:35-37;

14:16-24; Matt. 25:1-13).

The marriage of the Lamb is come and His wife hath made herself ready, (Rev. 19:7)

Loving Friends,According to the eternal purpose of God whom the heavens cannot contain,

During the year which is not known, in the month which is not thought of, on the day which

Is not imagined of, and at that joyful hour, the Holy matrimony of Gods Only Son

The Church

(The elect bride, ransomed by the blood)will be solemnised by God Himself as betrothed at Calvary.

Soon after the wedding, there will be a reception.
