Maryland Access Point of Howard County is a gateway for information and assistance for older adults, persons with disabilities, family members and other caregivers who need or want to plan for future needs. Information, assistance and futures planning through this program is available to individuals of all income levels in need of services to assist with remaining in the community and leading full lives.

With respect for the dignity of every
older person or person with a disability we are committed to the promotion of safety, health independence and self-
determination in each client’s effort to attain an optimum quality of life in the
safest and least restrictive setting.
VISION
MAP envisions a Howard County in which older persons or persons with dis-abilities receive consolidated, quality care that is efficient and effective in support-ing full quality of life by:
Increasing awareness and information about service options. Providing assistance with
benefits counseling, employment resources and future planning options. Accessing long-term care
services from both government and fee-for- service
