Dear Parishioners,

You may recall the Ministry Fair held last October in the White Room. It was an exciting weekend with chairpersons and members of the various ministries, societies, organizations and clubs (MSOC’s) inviting parishioners to learn more about our parish life, consider becoming involved and meeting new friends. Over 250

people signed up at the different tables and now are participating and helping in so many ways.

I am grateful to everyone who organized the Ministry Fair. Thank you to those who decorated the fair with colorful balloons, shared breakfast foods and gave away special treats. Thank you to those who prepared attractive brochures about the thirty five MSCO’s in the parish.

Imagine . . . thirty five ways for people to say “yes” to God’s work. It may be “yes” to being an altar server, “yes” to becoming a consolation minister or “yes” to joining the Golden Age Friendship Club.

Each of the thirty five brochures contains a mission statement, list of activities and events in the group, contact information and much more. At the Ministry Fair the brochures were a handy way for people to read more about the parish group, take the brochure home, and pray about becoming part of, and making the decision to say “yes.”

Since the Ministry Fair others have asked about the different parish groups and whether it is too late to join. Still, there are new parishioners who want to learn more about Our Lady of the Snows Parish and what they can do.

I am happy to let you know a display board has been placed in the Gathering Space. It is in the alcove near the priest’s sacristy and easily accessible for everyone. All thirty five brochures are there! Anyone who is interested in a parish group, or wants to become involved, and/or meet parishioners, feel free to take a brochure and read all about it. Our Lady of the Snows Parish is alive and well with something for everyone!

I kindly ask everyone’s cooperation in keeping the brochure rack neat and tidy. Please do not leave any brochures around the Gathering Space or in the church. If you see any brochures missing please call the Parish Office and we will restock the rack. Special thanks to our talented parishioner, Mr. Anthony Coscia, who did a great job mounting the rack. Thank you to you for your “Yes” to the work God has given us to do together in our beloved parish.

GOLDEN AGE FRIENDSHIP CLUB’S next meeting will be on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, in the Green Room. There will be no meetings the next three weeks. New members are welcome.

Gracious God and Father, we enter into your presence realizing you know us better than we know ourselves. You know the cares and sufferings we carry in our hearts. You call us to holiness and we trust you to lead us together on our journey to be a renewed Church, for with you all things are possible. Create us anew in Jesus Christ your Son. Liberate us from all that keeps us from you. Heal us from every form of sin and violence. Transform us to live your Word more profoundly. Awaken us to the sacred; rebuild trust among us. Enliven our parishes; reunite our families. May your Holy Spirit empower us to live as a community of love, freed to share in your work of recreating our world and restoring justice. We believe you are doing something new, calling us to arise together in Christ to celebrate the fullness of life. Amen. © 2007 RENEW International
