NOW ACCEPTING MASS INTENTIONS

The offering of a Mass is a time honored tradition and is a high form of prayer. It can be a prayer of remembrance for a deceased loved one, a prayer for a person’s special intention, or a prayer honoring a special occasion like a wedding anniversary or birthday. Memorial cards are available at the office.

There are a few ways to have a Mass celebrated.

1. Stop by the office to fill out an envelope, pn your way out of Mass pick up a Mass Intention envelope , or visit the skdparish.com website to download a form.

2. Complete the Mass Intention request and drop it off at the office or mail it in.

3. If there is a special day you would like to request we will honor it on a first come first served basis.

4. If you have any questions please call 717-697-8716.

Take vacation and road trips with people you are already quar-antining with. • Be prepared to wear a mask while in public. Several states require wearing masks in public while others recommend it. • Make lodging and hotel reservations directly with the hotel and in advance to avoid any possible complications. • Check with The National Governors Association for up-to-date information on each state’s COVID19 related re-strictions. • Check with each state’s transportation department website to identify any closed rest areas. • Understand that some areas with tolls may be mailing a toll bill as some areas have changed to cashless tolls. • Verify if the state you will be traveling to/from re-quires a post travel quarantine. • Book accommodations with flexible change and can-cellation policies. • Look for health and hygiene amenities such as: con-tactless check-in and check-out, increased cleaning standards, an official statement regarding social distancing, a facemask requirement policy and enhanced COVID-19 awareness train-ing for hotel staff. • Travel local. Visit local, less visited places you’ve always meant to visit as a family. • When traveling, check the state’s Department of Health and Human Services to see if there has been a recent rise in COVID-19 cases in the state/area you will be visiting.

• Do your part and maintain social distancing and health safety practices.

2020 is a year for the record books…The COVID-19 virus pandemic has challenged our world, both globally and in our homes. We were living life, then it was cancelled. We made plans, then they were changed. The normal flow of life has been stunted and hampered. The mantra of the day is to wear a face mask, stand 6 feet apart, and wash our hands. These actions will keep us safe, we are told. This messaging and adjustments have been difficult on all of us. Creating new thought patterns and ways of existing. Our inconveniences are upended by civil unrest in our nation. Whatever our mindset and outlook on this current crisis, we are all facing the same storm. We can choose to let the light of Jesus Christ shine through us. We can bring solace to this storm. There is much darkness in this world, we are called to fast and pray to help end it. We have the opportunity now to get back to basics, back to ground zero in love with Jesus. He reminds us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. If you find that you are anxious about these current days, reach out to God. Let him know you are participating in His exchange offer whereby you are willing to give up your worries and cares in exchange for His Light Yoke/Easy Burden. I understand this Exchange Policy is available 24/7. Act today! Supplies are unlimited!
