When the push buttona signal is sent

to the branch box

The signal then travels to theMaster-Trolcontroller, which identifies the station sendingthe signal and automaticallyreviews all preprogrammed options and timing requirements

If authorized, the controller returns signalactivating the valve and releasing water to the fixture

Master-TrolHow the System Works

Shown above in a Prison Comby (lav/toilet) application. Process is similar for all valves

Master-TrolNew Enhancements 2008

Master-Trol has been tried and tested over 20 years. It is used in a wide variety of applications from Super Max prisons to regional county jails all over the world.

Significant Improvements for computerized systems::• Windows explorer “Tree” view with improved description of fixture locations and increased flexibility in mapping of fixtures to Master-Trol stations• Multi-Level user names and passwords with detailed tracking of user activities• Ability to limit the amount of usage time and/or number of activations on a fixture in a 24-hour period providing unparalleled water saving• Real time monitoring of water usage and daily/weekly/monthly reports • Added modes such as Accumulator Mode, Variable Lockout, Queued Activations and many more

Page 21: Master-trol | Electronic Water Management System

Master-TrolServer Program

The Master-Trol Server Program is the first layer of the Master-Trol computerized system which communicates directly with the Master-Trol Controllers

The Master-Trol Server program serves the following purposes:• Gives the number of active controllers connected to each link in the Master-Trol System• Provides information of the Link Status• Allows remote access• Displays list of client computers which have access the system.

Page 22: Master-trol | Electronic Water Management System

Master-TrolServer Program

This window could be used to display any controller on any link not communicating with the server

orClicking on a "link" above could pop up a status map of all controllers on the link.

Page 23: Master-trol | Electronic Water Management System

Master-TrolConfiguration Program

• Create the “tree” structure for the prison facility, with detailed descriptions and labels for the location of each valve

• Map the created valves in the tree structure to desired stations of a controller on the Master-Trol System

Page 24: Master-trol | Electronic Water Management System

Master-TrolConfiguration Program

• Create users for the Master-Trol System - Add/Delete users and authorize users access to Master-Trol Software Modules

• Limit the visibility and the access to change parameters to specific users in a specific region in the facility.

• Set accessible functions for the created user to operate• Monitor each users activities over a period of time:

single day, group of days, month etc.

Variable Lockout Custom setting for stations, when a specified numberof activations occur with in a specified time period the station is locked out for a specified interval

Accumulator Mode Used to configure a station to operate with Acorn Vac vacuum drainage system

Paired Operation Used when the valve is required to automatically operate in conjunction with another station on the Master-Trol Controller

Page 27: Master-trol | Electronic Water Management System

Master-TrolClient Program

Make parameter changes to valves such as Setting Valve on time, Lockout time between activations or remote operation of the valve from the central PC workstation

Setting Valve modes as:• Single Cycle – Valve will run through timing cycle before shutting off• Cycle Interrupt – User can interrupt timing cycle by pushing the actuator during a timed cycle

Page 28: Master-trol | Electronic Water Management System

Master-TrolClient Program

• Enabling/Disabling a single valve and/or all valves in a cell/area or the whole system to prohibit utilization of any fixtures in that area/facility

• Setting a limit to the amount of water utilized and/or flush activations in a 24 hour period of time

• Setting windows of operation wherein the fixtures are available for use only within the set period and disabled outside of the specified window.

• View real time usage of the fixture

• Automatic cycling a fixture after an adjustable period of non-use has passed to prevent the trap from drying and/or corrosion of the ht fixture

Page 29: Master-trol | Electronic Water Management System

Master-TrolClient Program

• View a color coded representation of all fixtures in the facility and monitor via color codes in real time

• Get real time warnings of any non-communicating fixtures/controllers and any disabled stations or stations in a remote operation condition

Page 30: Master-trol | Electronic Water Management System

Master-TrolClient Program

• Ability to connect to a Server from a single or multiple clients using a LAN/WAN connection

• Allows administrators/ maintenance personnelto monitor the system and make changes from remote locations

• Dual levels of security via the Server Software and Configuration Software to prevent unauthorized access.

Page 31: Master-trol | Electronic Water Management System

Master-TrolLogging Program

• Log system events to a file on the computer for archiving

• Records number of times each valve has been activated

• Total ON time for each valve

• Log gallons/liters of water used per link/valve/all links over a selectable period of time

Page 32: Master-trol | Electronic Water Management System

Master-TrolLogging Program

• When valves are enabled and disabled

• Print a hardcopy of the information in a log file for archival

• Sort through log files and selectively plot requested data on screen and on hardcopy

Page 33: Master-trol | Electronic Water Management System

Master-TrolHandheld Programmer

• The Master-Trol controller station parameters can also be set using the Acorn Handheld programmer (-CPT)

• CPT is a low cost alternative to using a PC and has the ability to connect to and control one full link (32 controllers) at a time

• The CPT is recommended for smaller installations - between 1-5 controllers.

• Get information on number of controllers on different links

• Set/change On/Off times• Enable /disable stations

Page 34: Master-trol | Electronic Water Management System

Master-TrolHandheld Programmer

• Set Valve modes Remote Operation, Paired Operation (PO)

• Set Actuator Modes Single cycle (SC), Cycle Interrupt (CI), Accumulator Mode (AM)

• Troubleshoot and set parameters when access to the central Desktop Computer is not easily available or Master-Trol Controllers are to work stand alone.
