Publish: May 4, 2012 #05-09-12 PUBLIC REVIEW NOTICE – DRAFT PLAN APRIL, 2012 The Draft Hatcher Pass–Government Peak Unit: Development and Asset Management Plan public review period is open March 30 through May 31. 2012. The Asset plan will provide the foundation for present and future decisions on how the Government Peak Unit will be managed and developed, and must be consistent with the Hatcher Pas s Management Plan. Publish: May 4, 2012 #05-01-12 MATANUSKA-SUSITNA BOROUGH PUBLIC NOTICE The Hatcher Pass/Government Peak Recreational Area Access project clearing has begun. Correction: Timber that is cleared front the site will be made available to the public. A $25 permit is required for the Land Management Division at the Mat-Su Borough Administration building at the Dorothy Swanda Jones Building, 350 E. Dahlia Avenue, Palmer, upstairs. The cost for each cord of wood is an additional $25 with a maximum of three cords per family. Call Glenda at 745-9864 with questions. Applications for Farm Use Assessment must be filed each year to qualify for tax deferral. The deadline for filing the application is on or before May 15, 2012. Phone: (907) 745-9645 Address: 350 East Dahlia Ave, Palmer Alaska Publish: March 23, April 13, May 4, 2012 #03-21-12 FY13 HUMAN SERVICES COMMUNITY MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR NON-PROFIT AGENCIES Beginning on May 1, 2012, the Matanuska-Susitna Borough will be soliciting applications from non-profit agencies for the FY13 Human Services Community Matching Grant Program. The application for FY13 funding will be significantly different than in previous years. The primary change is the application will be an electronic submission through the United Way’s Grant portal. The Borough anticipates receiving fund- ing from the State of Alaska in the amount of $318,299. The award of grant funds is subject to receipt of funding from the State of Alaska and acceptance and appropriation by the Borough Assembly. Allocation of grant funds will also depend upon the number and quality of proposals received. The amount that may be requested for this program is limited to $35,000 per agency. Applicants should be prepared to accept fewer dollars than requested. The goal of the HSMG program is to provide high quality, cost efficient and community-driven health and human services to residents of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. Grant funds may only be used for services which are necessary to prevent or alleviate serious mental or physi- cal hardship. All grant funds must be expended before June 30, 2013. PUBLIC REVIEW NOTICE – DRAFT PLANAPRIL, 2012

The Draft Hatcher Pass–Government Peak Unit: Development and Asset Management Plan public review period is open March 30 through May 31. 2012. The Asset plan will provide the foundation for present and future decisions on how the Government Peak Unit will be managed and developed, and must be consistent with the Hatcher Pas s Management Plan.

The Hatcher Pass/Government Peak Recreational Area Access project clearing has begun. Correction: Timber that is cleared front the site will be made available to the public. A $25 permit is required for the Land Management Division at the Mat-Su Borough Administration building at the Dorothy Swanda Jones Building, 350 E. Dahlia Avenue, Palmer, upstairs. MATANUSKA-SUSITNA BOROUGHPROPERTY OWNERS NOTICE

Applications for Farm Use Assessment are now available in the Assessment Division of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough in Palmer.

Applications for Farm Use Assessment must be filed each year to qualify for tax deferral. The deadline for filing the application is on or before May 15, 2012.

FY13 HUMAN SERVICES COMMUNITY MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR NON-PROFIT AGENCIES

Beginning on May 1, 2012, the Matanuska-Susitna Borough will be soliciting applications from non-profit agencies for the FY13 Human Services Community Matching Grant Program. The application for FY13 funding will be significantly different than in previous years. The primary change is the application will be an electronic submission through the United Way’s Grant portal. The Borough anticipates receiving fund-ing from the State of Alaska in the amount of $318,299. The award of grant funds is subject to receipt of funding from the State of Alaska and acceptance and appropriation by the Borough Assembly. Allocation of grant funds will also depend upon the number and quality of proposals received. The amount that may be requested for this program is limited to $35,000 per agency. Applicants should be prepared to accept fewer dollars than requested. The goal of the HSMG program is to provide high quality, cost efficient and community-driven health and human services to residents of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. Grant funds may only be used for services which are necessary to prevent or alleviate serious mental or physi-cal hardship. All grant funds must be expended before June 30, 2013.
