Tulin Road within Sevenmile Ridge to change the road name to W. Kokomo Road pursuant to MSB 11.20.120(A)(1)(b) Street Name Change. The name now conflicts with a private road name in the nearby area and creates a hazardous situation for the public and emergency services. The road is located in the NE ¼ SW ¼ Section 22, Township 16 North, Range 04 East, Seward Meridian, AK, lying east of S. Ridge Road. The effective date is February 21, 2012. Publish: January 20, 27, February 3 &10, 2012 #02-10-12 ATTENTION MATANUSKA-SUSITNA BOROUGH The Matanuska-Susitna Borough Assessor’s office mailed the 2012 Business Inventory Assessment Returns on December 01, 2011. Business Inventory is exempt from borough taxation to a limit of $250,000 in value, per Borough Code 3.15.035(c). Any business owner receiving a return must respond in order for this office to determine the appropriate exemption. All persons who own and/or have control of taxable business inventory within the borough are required by Alaska Statute 29.45.120 to file such a return with the Borough Assessor’s Office. The filing deadline is March 15, 2012. All returns postmarked or received after that date are subject to a fifteen percent (15%) penalty (MSB 3.15.130 & MSB 3.15.150). Failure to file a return could result in a fine of not more than $1000 and/or imprisonment for not more than ninety (90) days. The completed return should indicate the exact location of the business property so that the proper mill rate may be applied. Please list the correct subdivision name, block & lot; or township, range, and section; or street address. Any property owner with questions, or who desires assistance, should call 745-9637 or visit the Assessment Division at the Matanuska-Susitna Borough office in Palmer, Alaska. ATTENTION MATANUSKA-SUSITNA BOROUGH

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough Assessor’s office mailed the 2012 Business Inventory Assessment Returns on December 01, 2011. Business Inventory is exempt from borough taxation to a limit of $250,000 in value, per Borough Code 3.15.035(c). Any business owner receiving a return must respond in order for this office to determine the appropriate exemption.

All persons who own and/or have control of taxable business inventory within the borough are required by Alaska Statute 29.45.120 to file such a return with the Borough Assessor’s Office. The filing deadline is March 15, 2012. All returns postmarked or received after that date are subject to a fifteen percent (15%) penalty (MSB 3.15.130 & MSB 3.15.150).

Failure to file a return could result in a fine of not more than $1000 and/or imprisonment for not more than ninety (90) days.

The completed return should indicate the exact location of the business property so that the proper mill rate may be applied. Please list the correct subdivision name, block & lot; or township, range, and section; or street address.

Any property owner with questions, or who desires assistance, should call 745-9637 or visit the Assessment Division at the Matanuska-Susitna Borough office in Palmer, Alaska. Additional returns are available at this office. It is the property owner’s responsibility to obtain a return if one is not received by mail.
