Smart cities are an obvious application of IoT as a horizontal enabler, covering

sustainable smart grids, smart mobility , smart health.

Advances in integration and miniaturization of ultra-low power components and micro systems and increased autonomy and flexibility of service robots is accelerating the diffusion of embedded ICT in all types of physical objects and artefacts ranging from clothes and even bodies to homes, cars and transport systems, as well as all public spaces and cities.

Internet of Things (IoT) is a technology, and a market development, based on the inter-connection of everyday objects among themselves and applications. IoT will enable an ecosystem of smart applications and services, which will improve and simplify EU citizens' lives.

Whereas in the first run Internet of Things referred to the advent of barcodes and Radio-frequency identification (FID), helping to automate inventory, tracking and basic identification, the second current wave of IoT sees a strong verve for connecting sensors, objects, devices, data and applications. The next wave could be called a “cognitive IoT”, facilitating object and data reuse across application domains, leveraging on hyper-connectivity, interoperability solutions and semantic enriched information distribution, incorporating intelligence at different levels, in the objects, devices, network(s), systems and in the applications for evidence-based decision making and priority setting.Economically , it could generate billions of Euros that easily translate into growth and employment, provided it ensures trust and security for the European citizens and businesses. At the same time, the IoT will bring hyper-connectivity to a global society, using augmented and rich interfaces. This global society will also be characterised by higher semi-autonomous system behaviour than today.

The theme of monitoring electricity consumption is as timely as ever and is a key element in the development of solutions aimed to reduce waste and optimizing fuel consumption .

The SmartPower is a configuration of the family SmartMeter that allows you to make little effort to design a telemetry system fully efficient and modern with professional performance . SmartPower is addressed to private and business users and in particular institutional allowing the latter to provide a system for acquisition of electrical consumption .

The system also allows you to acquire the following values :

In addition to these issues , the measurement node is equipped with an optical probe that can read simultaneously impulsive indicator measurement of the counter with a precision of ± 4ms . This reading allows to know the actual energy tax invoiced by the counter of the network operator .Measuring the period between pulses , the measurement node detect the instantaneous power , counting the pulses measured on a time interval of 36 seconds and multiplying the result by 100 , the node deduces the energy consumed by the user . The parameters read are sent via GFSK transceiver , which operates in the ISM band at 433 MHz ,to the communication node . The node consists of a transceiver coupled to a microscopic stage router connected to an ADSL line owned by the user that sends to an outside server the parameters read every 36 seconds. The read data then becomes accessible to the user through the web platform SmartPLC.it along with useful statistical information on consumption ,and the related costs and quality of electricity supply .

The SmartSun is the first complete solution for monitoring photo voltaic device that uses a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) instead of a conventional data logger in respect of which offers several advantages summarized as follows :

the monitoring device is equipped with its own system memory, programmable by the user, who is able to decide predetermined actions, regardless of the state of connection,

For the refinement of agricultural products, and since most of the plants are highly sensitive about temperature, humidity and sunshine intensity during their growth period , our company has developed a project - SMART GREENHOUSE - which intends to implement an automated greenhouse management system to carefully monitor the important environmental factors. Therefore, the greenhouse needs a complete solution that includes a computer, IO modules and software to monitor and automatically control the various equipment, like turning fans on at higher temperatures, pumping water to the plants when soil moisture is too low, using the sun shade mesh whilst the sun is at its strongest, in real time,. This information, processed and transmitted to the compactor in its run-up to the dumpster, is shared with the operations center that stores and processes the data from the individual containers located both inside and outside of the waste collection area. Based on the received data, the operator is able to decide whether to stop the vehicle for emptying or less the dumpster. ? Due to the material with which it is made and the special bolting system inside the lid of the dumpster, the Trash Sensor is not subject to deterioration or vandalism.

GENIUS is a remote control system particularly simple and effective which allows to optimize, locate, monitor and manage in remote the vehicles used for the collection of municipal waste in the territory.
