CATHOLIC DIALOGUE

As the heading implies, dialogue is an exchange of ideas between people. Our goal will be to strengthen our faith and make it credible and meaningful so it has bearing on our ordinary lives. We will have an opportunity to raise up life's questions for exploration and reflection. As adults this will be a co-learning experience in terms of incites and experiences. No one comes to these gatherings finished - we come as learners. We will over time come to respect and trust each other so we can make our own choices in the decision making process of everyday life.

People will come with questions such as where did we come from, why are we here, where are we going and how do we get there? What is the meaning of suffering - why do bad things happen to good people? What is marriage?

What is our teaching on life issues; abortion, end of life etc., and why should we not judge other people and other such questions. As we go along we will be discussing anything and everything as we look to J sus who has the answers.

People are welcome to come just to listen. You may also suggest topics or questions by putting them in an envelope addressed "Catholic Dialogue" and placing them in the collection basket.

Beginning on June 4 we will begin meeting on the 1st and third Wednesdays of each month at 7 pm for 1 1/2 hrs in the lower level in the Saint Michael room. People can come to any session, since discussion sta11s anew every week. Any questions call Joe Sca11elli at 570-374-9954 (home) or 570-313-7606 (cell) or [email protected]
