How was your Easter?
This week we return to ordinary time in our liturgical calendar. After the power of the Easter season, with its conclusion, on Pentecost Sunday, it can seem to be a little bit of a lull.
It may be ordinary time, but we are always an Easter people. This means we live as a people, all parts of Christ’s Body working together toward a single purpose: love. The challenge for us is to continue working through our ordinary days to always to follow God’s will for us. The great news is that we’re never alone
in this journey. As we were told last week, He has left His advocate, the Holy Spirit, to be with us always.
So let’s continue to celebrate and rejoice, continue to demonstrate to others that we are
an Easter people, even in the ordinary moments of our lives in ordinary time.
God Bless.
PS - thank you to everyone who signed up at last week’s ministry fair. St Rose will be so much the better because of you’re willingness to serve.
If you missed our Stewardship of Serving weekend, you can still sign up for any ministry by calling the office or submitting a commitment form (//bit.ly/StRose_Serving).
Parish Photo Directory
Las t Chance
Our last photo sessions were held May 19th. We
had more than 500 people photographed in 220+
sessions. The first edition of our directory is
expected to be ready for pickup in September.
If you missed getting a photo taken you have
two options:
i. For $10, you can send in your own picture.
The charge covers Lifetouch’s fee and you
will receive a copy of the photo directory.
ii. We will be hosting makeup dates in
November. If you have your picture taken in
November, you’ll receive a free 8x10” photo
and a free updated directory.
Did you know that...
… we have Small Christian Communities, located throughout our parish neighborhoods,
that gather for faith sharing and
fellowship.
… all are welcomed. If you’re
