Scope • Main Injector type enclosure
10 feet wide x 8 feet high (typical except near MC-1 where higher ceiling will be required.
Painted walls and ceiling, sealed floor. Floor to have 3” cover over rebar to enable stand anchorage.
Channel inserts walls and ceiling @ 8’ o/c. (no inserts 5’ from floor on aisle side)
• Shielding 16 feet of earth/concrete for M-4 beamline. (w/ beamline 4’ from clg.) 6 to 9 feet for g-2 beamline. Shielding needed within enclosure
between MC-1 building and M-4 / Delivery Ring.
• Access for magnets is provided directly from Ring enclosure; lift provided for magnet installation. Shielded hatch provided for magnet installation / replacement.

Scope
• HVAC & Process Water A concept exits that integrates
the requirements for beamline
and Mu2e. G-2 is isolated from
beamline. LCW provided by g-2 and Mu2e
projects.
• Electrical 500 MCM ground along beamlines. Quad 120V & duplex 208V utility outlets at 60’ 480V welding outlets at 400’ Three 18” cable trays provided (one tray will contain line type heat
detection) Lighting 20 FC; UPS in MC-1 Building for emergency lighting.

Status and Issues
• Beamline lattice not complete past bend Holding up Project Plan completion Depending on geometry of final layout there may be some exiting
issues that must be resolved (Additional stair @~$175K)
• Project plan text 80% complete.• Budget exceeded ($9.7M vs. $9.2 M), close to $10mil
cap. Additional funding in FY14 most beneficial. Indirect costs have increased and recent history indicates that
there is a negative risk of additional increases. There is little in the way of deduct scope contingency that would
not need to be transferred to one of the other projects.
