Saint Valentine

On February 14, many Christians celebrate Valentine’s

Day. Valentine, a Roman priest, was made a martyr in

270 A.D. because of his love of Christ and his persis-

tence in the Christian way of life. He often ended his

kind and helpful letters to others with the words “Your

Valentine.” Later, as Christians remembered and honored

this saint, they signed their letters of affection with the

same words.

St. Valentine is considered by some Christians to be the

patron saint of love and the helper of those who are un-

happily in love. Some Christians call St. Valentine's Day

a feast day. Make it a day when we joyfully share our

love and appreciation for our dear friends, family mem-

bers and all those who are part of the family of God.

“Your Valentine,”

The Church Office will be closed

Monday, February 20 in observance of Presidents Day.

Resurrection Garden This garden was established several years ago in order that MPC members, and family members can be surrounded by their church family as their final resting place. There are two options available. One is a direct, ground burial and the second option is to place cremains in the columbarium. Arrangements can

be made at any time for either option but there are only 3 niches remaining in the columbarium. This has been very meaningful place for many people. Please contact the church office if you are interested in making arrange-ments.
